I deliberately avoided the 3D-printed versions of these devices, as there is an inherent weakness of that production technique for a design of this type. I am very pleased that I made this decision as this product is robust, well made and accurate. I use these with a ‘snap off’ style craft knife, as that is the perfect length, when extended, to run along the edges of the guide and cleanly cut the insulation.Used on pipe insulation from Screwfix, the guide for the 22mm stuff is perfect, whilst that for the 28mm insulation is a little tight but still very effective. I haven’t tried the 15mm guide yet.

If you've ever tried your hand at lagging pipes as a DIYer then you'll quickly understand how useful these tools can be. Cutting a clean, straight diagonal line or mid-join can be very tricky without something like this to guide you.These allow you to achieve a professional finish to a job without the experience required!Given that these are different sizes, I was of the impression that they would stack inside one another and possibly lock together for easy, convenient storage. However, that is not the case. Instead they simply slide out from one another loose which is perhaps why I never received the 15mm tool...This claims "non-3D printed" as a selling point but with the ones that arrived I feel that's more to the detriment of the product. In terms of finish and accuracy, these were surprisingly poor. The cut edge was jagged and misshapen on both tools despite having not even been used. Of course, it's not going to massively impact usability (if at all) but still slightly disappointing given the price of the product and doesn't give confidence in the overall quality.

Altho not 3d printed the diameter is usuable but the quality of the plastic is poor and the sizing isn't accurate. The peices do not slot together as nice as my lag cut pro do. Don't be fooled by the many inaccurate vine reviews.
