I thought the QR code would simply link directly to the instructions manual seeing as there was nothing provided, which I thought was a nice touch from the usual paperwork, however the QR code just goes to the website and you still need to search for it. Once I did eventually find the product page there was not much of any manual or instructions, although the support page offers a generic one for all their products.Having a quick look along to double confirm the product listing, there is a BMS (battery management system) on this so I believe I do not need a special charger, plus it makes sense that some of the vehicles and equipment that would use this battery probably don't have any special implementation for charging LiFePO4 and just push out voltage in the ranges of 14v, and as per searching around - lead acid batteries charge at around 13.8V and 14.7V, which most of them will do. Although the battery support/instruction page states to not go over 15v.Compared to my lead acid batteries, this one is super light, which may be useful in some situations or projects. I did not charge this upon arrival and hooked it up to a 12v adapter which I plugged in a simple car heater. The heater stopped working about 10 minutes, voltage dropped to 6v, but up to 10v once I removed the load. So I presume it went flat. After charging using a iMaxB6 it charged to 3000 mAh (36Wh) after about 97 minutes.

I requested this for use with powering my wildlife trail camera as its reasonably powerful and very lightweight and can easily be carried to the location.One nice feature is a test button for voltage test, just press and the voltage is shown on a digital display.It easily lasts a few days and busy nights in this use and if it fails, looking at some of the reviews, then no harm done. Its holding up fine to its task so far though.At review time this was £59 so I would shop with care.

Arrived as described, as pictured, safe and sound.This battery works well and it appears to be well made.Firstly, it arrived working and charged which is always a good sign.I've been using this to power some garden lighting coupled with a small solar panel and charge controller, its been working fine over the last couple of weeks its been installed and behaves exactly as expected for a Lithium pack. It's well made, build quite sturdily, it feels solid in the hand made from dense plastic which has no give to it. On the top of the pack you have a battery voltage check which is momentary, press and hold to see the battery voltage and its about as accurate as you can get within 0.1v of a DMM at the battery terminals. I bench tested this to make sure the BMS works as it should which it does perfectly. One thing to note, the battery check meter is tapped onto the output terminals, if the battery shuts down due to low voltage it will not work until the battery either recovers or its put on charge.Recommended.

this is a seemingly well made battery it feels very high quality and the little details such as the voltage tester and adjustable height plate show some effort has gone into its production.i had no trouble getting it hooked up to the terminals and found it was easy to charge and powered my devices well.batteries of this type are useful for all kinds of tasks and it kind of depends what you need it for to judge if the price tag justifies the cost for your purpose but i think it's reasonably priced for a good quality lifepo4 battery.

The 'DOUKAS DKL9 450A LiFePO4 Lithium Battery, 12V 3Ah' arrived in a branded box.I was disappointed to find that the battery did not come with a user manual and required me to visit an unfamiliar website to access the manual; in my opinion any manual belongs with the product so it is available at the point of use.The battery appears to be well made and I like the simple height adjustment plate that just clips onto the bottom.Out of the box I used the batteries test function to check the voltage which indicated 13.1V.During functional testing under load the battery performed within my expectations.At the time of ordering this battery was priced at £59 which to me appears to be good value.

Excellent crank up power..Using this battery on my Vespa GTS 300. The previous makes of batteries I’ve used (3) over 5 years had difficulty on cranking the engine over. This battery is perfect, no complaints whatsoever.

Excellent battery plenty cranking power for Harley sportster 1200. Died after 2months will not charge now NO GOOD. Bolo says to late to return again NO GOOD

Didn't last a month. No support from manufacturer.

Bought for DRZ400S. Installed and seemed ok. Went to start it a couple weeks later and it's dead. There's nothing on the bike that would drain it. Won't charge. Reading around 1.3V. I'm guessing the internal BMS won't let it charge, even with a manual charger (or Doukas charger). Manufacturer won't respond to emails on their website. Went back to a regular lead acid battery. Would not recommend Doukas.

Great value and convience with the voltage display.

This battery rocks. (450A - 36Ah)My 650CC Burgman scooter starts with no hesitation. The lead acid battery that it replaced never had the starting power that this on has. I have be using this battery for about 5 months with no isues. It still reads at 13.1 volts on its display.I like it soo much that I am buying another. I will use it to charge my 42" battery powered riding lawnmow batteries, using my solar panel and a power inverrter that I already have. Highly recommend; Price is great; Size is very convenient; And It has the cranking power that is more than I need. The voltage display is a great feature.

I made it fit in a 2005 V-max, and it really turns this engine over.

This battery is not the correct size for a 2005 V-Max, and I knew it wasn't - this is not the vendor's fault. I picked this battery because I knew it would fit in the tray, then I added foam to fill in the gaps and raise the battery up. The best part, is now it isn't a huge PITA to get out of the bike. The stock size battery is an enormous pain to remove because it is such a tight fit.I charged this with the Dukas charger, and it's been fine. The company has a backstory on the name (it's named after a MIddle Ages Knight). I guess they wanted to have a story. A fun little touch but doesn't make or break the quality.It cranks the 1200cc V-4 engine over without effort. Beside the light weight, this is the reason I like LiFePo4 batteries.I've only had it about 4 weeks, so I can't comment on longevity. I expect to get no less than 4 years out of the battery because my bikes are garaged and kept on tenders, though the lithium batteries I have I tend to only periodically put on tenders because they hold a charge so well (another plus for these). I still get 4-5 years out of lead acid batteries, and expect no less from a 'superior' technology.

Love it! This little bad boy been thru a lot so far and make it with flying colors! Worked on Troy build / Briggs and Stratton no modes to charging system and it still charging fine! Jumped car/ minivan with this battery and SEMI truck!!! Yeah and I am real costumer and NOT testing this product for free, I paid money for it. Yes I jumped SEMI truck with this battery!
