I gave this supplement to a colleague that does a lot of running and she swears that they've helped her to her recent new PBs. She also ran the London marathon this year too for the first time and beat her target time.Beetroot is apparently high in nitrates which convert to nitric oxide in the body which helps in a number of ways to reduce inflammation and increase blood oxygen levels so this helps athletes with their stamina during running and recovery afterwards.These tablets come attractively and securely packaged in a white plastic bottle with an internal tamper seal. The labelling is clear and the ingredients and dosage instructions are easy to read.The tablets aren't too big which makes them easy to swallow, there's little aftertaste too.The dosage is 2 per day but my friend tends to take both of these prior to a run. The daily dosage results in about 60 days supply of supplement. This is quite good value at around 25p per day.Verdict: Possibly the next super food for athletes and these are good quality and at a great price. My friend loves the extra kick of energy she gets from these supplement tablets.

Personally I have been measurably benefitting from the properties of beetroot supplements for quite a while.These are a fairly straightforward powdered form in a type of Cellulose shell, note: its only pushed together so take care not to treat a capsule too rough or it can come apart.The actual beetroot serving is 1000mg as 200mg of it is the grape seed extract, which is a welcome addition as its benefits also align quite well with those of beetroot so providing a combined approach.The capsules are quite large, personally I don't struggle with swallowing things but I do prefer the small concentrated forms that are also available these days.That said, there is an argument to be held in supplements that the least processing, the less its likely to damage the complex molecules of the beneficial components, so whilst these are relatively low strength compared to the super concentrated forms, they may have better active integrity.Even 1000mg is well above the known trial levels that have established a scientific basis for benefits.The regular price is £20 for 60 days worth (there is a bit of discount at the moment too), so £10 a month isn't too bad but there are cheaper supplies around, beetroot isn't a complex or expensive ingredient, it should be one of your cheapest supplements.So just just 1 star down for value really, product is good. I recommend looking at the information published by the late Dr Mosely for easy to follow and credible advice on why this type of supplement could be of substantial benefit to many people. It certainly opened my eyes.

If, like me, you can’t abide the taste of fresh beetroot in any form (raw, pickled or as a liquid etc) then tablet/capsule form is the way forward. I’ve been taking beetroot as a supplement for several years now, as there are a range of potential benefits for heart health, including the possible reduction of blood pressure, cholesterol and blood circulation. My personal monitored experience has been positive, while beetroot also acts as an antioxidant and contains fibre, vitamins B6/B9, C, magnesium, potassium and iron.I’ve never had this particular brand before, which contains just 1000mg of beetroot and is classed as “high potency” within their advertising material and on the jar. This has left me a little perplexed, as my existing tablets contain 9000mg per serving and I take two together as instructed. So that’s 18,000mg daily versus just 2000mg and another 40mg of grape seed extract with Vinco. Grape seed may also help reduce blood pressure but research uses “may” and “can” quite a bit for this product, whereas I’m sold on the efficacy of pure high-strength beetroot supplements. In view of this, think I’ll continue with my tried and result tested formulation for the future.

Hmm lovely beetroot. For the uninitiated the benefits of this purple root include cardiovascular support and a whole host of vitamins. As beetroot is naturally high in nitrate it can be useful to help maintain healthy blood pressure. This tub of capsules can give you your daily dose without the need to be constantly chowing down on beets, buying expensive trendy shots or consuming carbs if you’re on a restricted keto diet. Of course results are subjective but I find it beneficial along with a healthy(ish) diet and moderate exercise in keeping my blood pressure down. The capsules themselves are tasteless and easy to swallow with no nasty aftertaste. For your hard earned cash you get a tub of 120 and the manufacturers recommended dose is 2 daily and ingredients (capsule, beetroot & grape seed) are vegan friendly with an approximate 2 year shelf life if stored properly.

Been taking these capsules now for a month and can honestly say that I don't feel any benefit.I have a daily routine for taking my vitamins, garlic, olive oil etc. and have been taking these capsules as part of that routine. The manufacturer says "You get better endurance and stamina for workouts, work, and enjoying personal time" However, I honestly don't feel anything near those effects.These capsules may work for others but they don't for me and I'm just being honest about their effect in my use.
