I bought this after having detached retinas in both eyes, I needed something to enlarge the mail and thought this would help. The image that I see through it is blurry and very difficult to get any focus through it. I'm very disappointed with the product.

This is a very versatile magnifying glass. You get two lenses. There built in primary lens gives you a 6x magnification. When you need more the second lens gives you a 15x magnification. However, your field of view is somewhat less when using both lenses. I got this to read some older newspapers and magazines whose printing has faded in places over time. Most of the time the the 6x works fine for that. The other great advantage with this magnifying lens is the ring lights. There are 3 different modes depending on the quality of light that you prefer. It is powered by 3 AAA batteries. It is a shame that they didn't opt for the ubiquitous USB charging, but this is a minor quibble. This magnifying glass is also great for observing insects, plants and other objects in nature and would make a great gift for a curious student.

My husband uses this every day and it’s getting quite a bit of where. It’ll be worth buying again.
