They are good quality and cook quickly in the pressure cooker. Nice mild, creamy flavour and texture.

They are fresh beans. Unlike the soya beans from other brands, they arrived in good condition in eyes (hardly damaged nor discolored) and work for sprouting! Since sprouting only works with fresh soya beans, I can tell they are in good condition from inside too.Picture 1: inside the package (very good condition)Picture 2: after soaking in water for 8 hoursPicture 3: after 6-7 days of sproutingI did many bean sprouting with other brand. However the quality of beans was very random even from the same brand. Sometimes they worked for sprouting but other times poorly failed (which means they were not fresh). Since my primary use of these beans are sprouting, I didnโt want any more risk of failing. So I tried this brand for a good review and it turned out to be a good buy. It is a little expensive than others but as I wanted a quality product, they totally worth it. I hope the quality stays stable so I can be their regular!!***after 2 more weeks: I still fairly like these beans, however I should say they are NOT in the best condition. I think they are slightly old, which means they harvested quite a while ago, cause some of them went bad while sprouting and the rest is slow in sprouting. I had better ones before. However, I can say they are very well managed for their look compared to other brand I used. For this reason I still think they are fairly good and would like to buy next time.

I like to eat a healthy diet, and love trying different wholefoods, preferably organically grown. I had already had a packet of ground flaxseed from this brand and was impressed with the quality, so was keen to try some more of their products. These soya beans are similarly organic, vegan, GMO-free, and with no additives or preservatives, and are grown sustainably, following strict organic farming standards. We are told that locations are selected that optimise the full potential of each plant - in this case China. I would have preferred my soya beans to be locally grown, but at least they're packed in the UK to Organic Soil Association standards.In spite of being in my mid-70s, I've never cooked soya beans before - so I thought it was time to give it a go! I would have liked some basic cooking instructions, although this may well have put me off ordering the beans in the first place as it's a very long process indeed. I poured boiling water over them and soaked them overnight, and as I don't have a pressure cooker, I attempted to cook them in the microwave, in the hope that this would shorten the cooking time. This was not a success, although they did soften slightly, so I then simmered them on the stove for another 3 hours, filling the house with steam and the smell of soya beans! In spite of feeling somewhat grumpy by this stage of the process, I have to admit that the beans seemed good quality - mainly whole beans with no contaminants - and served in a mushroom sauce with brown rice produced a really tasty, filling and nutritious supper. The best before date is 16/03/2026 so plenty of time to psyche myself up to cook some more!The resealable, stand-up pouches are convenient, easy to reseal (unlike many of this type), and can be recycled at my local supermarket. A 500g packet costs ยฃ7.99, so quite expensive, although the 1kg size is better value at ยฃ11.49. However, if I were going to order more, I would like to be able to buy bigger bags at a better price - and find out how to cook them quicker!
