    If you're looking to make pressed ham, beef, corned beef, mortadella etc. This is perfect for cured meats and so on.. make your own, add your own ingredients, avoid additives or other nasties and save a fortune too! The pot is made of very thick stainless steel.. it comes with a thermometer, but I went a step further and added my own bluetooth wireless probe into it, simply by drilling a slightly bigger hole.. I sous vide a lot, so with the probe in place, I put the pot into a vacuum bag and seal it up.. you can buy ham cuts for around £2 per kg.. before anything, add 20g salt and 2.5g, 20g brown sugar, curing salts to the meat and let it cure in fridge for around 2-3 days.. then rinse the meat.. add your favourite spices, pepper, garlic, chilli or whatever you like.. put the meat through a grinder.. what I do is take a slow cooker bag and put it into the pot (optional for easy removal) stuff the minced meat into the pot and put the lid and spring in.. vacuum seal, put in sous vide at 74c for around 3.5-6 hours.. remove and put in a cold water bath, then fridge for a few hours.. the slice it.. I use a slicer machine for thin cuts.. this saves an absolute fortune on store bought packets of cold meats and it's delicious.. well worth the outlay.. enjoy!

    This is a really cool bit of kit if you love making hams or other deli style meats, its easy to use, just fill the tube with what ever meat and herbs or seasonings you want, use the meat press lid to press the meats together and lock the lid in place and slide in the thermometer, then place the press into a deep pan of water and boil until the thermometer reaches your desired temperature.once cooking has finished let it cool and then chill the press in the fridge overnight and your deli meat is done.works a treat and the press is made from decent materials and is dish washer safe .
