Just didn’t work in fact the catapillers seem to thrive on it. Smells nice!!!

Only time will tell how effective this item is. Box moth caterpillars are a blight to all box bushes it seems and anything that stops their devastating effects is welcome.We have a LOT of ornamental box which we are trying to preserve. Last season we used a selective biocide which was very effective. But there are more alternatives out there so trying some of those.The product is easy to dose and make up with a measuring cup. You will get 4 doses of 2.5l out of one bottle. Given that the instructions say to treat weekly from Feb to Nov this is going to work out costly. Our biocide was every 3 to 4 weeks during the active season.The product foams up A LOT when made up which makes it really hard to clean out afterwards. There is a strong scent not disimilar to citronella. I suspect it is this that is the deterent. It also makes me wonder whether it will deal with the early hatching caterpillars who overwinter in the bushes - I expect not. I suspect that it is possibly just a deterrent to the moths laying new eggs.I will update this as beating the bugs is important for the preservation of our bushes! At the moment I'm not holding out much hope and fully expecting to have to hand-harvest wrigging caterpillars very soon.PS another review suggests using this for cabbage plants - THIS IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR BOX MOTH and not as an edible.

Caterpillars always fascinated me as a kid, but now not so much due to the damage they caused on my attempts to grow veggies last year. My cabbages started off looking really good until they were eaten, not tiny little holes but totally destroyed. I’m still learning but that was a lesson. This is really easy to use, and I can spray everything that is in danger because the 500ml solution is in concentrate form and makes 10 litres. It is totally pet and child friendly which is important to me, plus I don’t want to spray my food that I am growing with anything that isn’t natural. I am so glad to have discovered this and hope for a good crop this year. I will update if my leaves get chewed.
