(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I have used Android tablets in the past but decided to purchase this iPad just because I needed a new tablet and thought I'd give an iPad a try.Firstly the build quality is excellent. It weighs quite a bit and feels strong when holding it.The performance is good as well. Regarding storage, I went for the 128GB model but that should be plenty for every day users as the operating system only takes up about 20GB of it, so you should still have quite a lot of space remaining. If you plan to install loads of large games all at the same time then I would probably recommend getting a higher capacity one but for most users I think 128GB will be more than enough. Please remember that you cannot expand the storage. The screen is just amazing and really one of the reasons I went for the iPad as opposed to other tablets. The quality of it when watching movies etc is excellent. It's a nice large size as well without being too large where it's uncomfortable to hold.Battery life is OK - but you have to remember that it's powering a very high quality display etc, so don't expect it the battery to last long when watching movies, playing games etc, but you do still get a few hours from fully charged, and it charges fairly quickly as well.I would recommend taking out the Apple Care as well (you get an option for this when you go to the settings of the tab and must do it within 60 days). It's an affordable monthly amount and for the reassurance it's highly worth it (and it's from Apple themselves). Now considering changing my Android phone to an iPhone...Highly recommended!
5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, anyone considering should buy one.
Considering this is the cheapest iPad available at the moment I am very impressed. Whilst battery life could be better (from my use it doesn’t last the advertised 10 hrs) but it’s good enough, the iPad is very nice to look at it’s very minimalist and pretty, can’t comment on durability as it’s very new but hopefully will be durable. Some people report these iPads bending easily but hopefully that won’t happen to me. The iPad is fast, can do every task I need it for, works well for note taking despite the non-laminated screen, I barely notice. The base storage being 128GB is perfect too, I have enough storage for everything. For a base model iPad it is superb and everyone considering should get one. The Apple Pencil USB-C works perfectly with it, a great magnetic connection and it does everything I need despite lacking pressure sensitivity. All in all this device exceeds expectations.
4.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous iPad, but a total lack of support for a device that arrived defective
I bought this iPad after having a glacially slow iPad 2 since release, and it was a much needed upgrade. The screen is vibrant and accurate (same with all Apple products), the device itself is fast, and battery life is insanely good - I've been non-stop using it for Procreate/Procreate Dreams/Scrivener and it lasts a full day. If it's not being used, I got around 4 days with no charging and it was still at 90%. Works great with the generation 1 Apple pencil, and connected to my third party bluetooth keyboard with no issue.Unfortunately, though, I've given this 4 stars, not 5, due to Apple's complete lack of support. The second I turned it on, I noticed it had a dead pixel. The iPad was purchased from Bolo, not a third party seller on Bolo, and both my pencil and iPad are showing as new and genuine in my Apple account, with the offer to upgrade my Apple Care to cover accidental damage. However, Apple have said that because I bought it on Bolo, they do not offer any support or warranty, but Bolo won't offer any support either, and will instead direct you to the Apple-provided support that they conveniently don't offer.Overall, one dead pixel isn't a deal breaker for me, so I didn't send it back. I love my iPad and Apple Pencil, especially at the price point (once upon a time, Apple products were considered comically expensive, but now they're far more affordable, especially when they go on sale) - I just don't love how disgusting Apple's customer support is. I've been using Apple products for well over a decade, but I wouldn't trust them to offer support anymore (even though I am positive they legally have to offer support on a defective product). All in all, fabulous device, terrible customer support (not Bolo's fault), and great price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value from Amazon
I really enjoy my iPad I use it more than any of my other devices, this has a great memory, good battery life and it was a pretty seamless transition from my old iPad to this new one, good picture and performance quality, does everything I need it to do so I am very happy with my purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent new ipad.
Excellent new version of the ipad. Good screen resolution and quick processing. Battery life is also much better than my previous air 2. Very satisfied and managed to get it at a good price (although delivery was a little slow!).
5.0 out of 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Got the 256gb model for 399 and I Absolutely love it. It's my first iPad and I'm very impressed. I got a lovely case to go with it along with a pencil, paper matte anti glare screen protector ( absolute must as screen has no anti glare coating) and a wireless keyboard and mouse. Software and performance outstanding and overall the iPad feels like a premium device. No M chip so no apple intelligence but who cares I just downloaded Gemini on it instead as I have a pixel and it works fine on both 👍
5.0 out of 5 stars Fast, zippy and awesome 2025 ipad
Got thus ipad for my daughter and she was over the moon! The size was spot on and as she has experience with ipads, she was able to get straight to work, setting it up. Excellent display resolution and touch screen was good as usual. Everything worked as this brand says and its a pretty nippy latest iPad. It doesn't feel heavy and is excellent workmanship. I think its great value for the money.
1.0 out of 5 stars Ipad 11” 16A faulty
This product would not connect to home wifi to setup. Spoke with Apple Support who advised ther was an engineering problem with version 16A 11” iPad and the fix would be avail Apple in the future. This item has been returned as not fit for purpose
Better than I expected
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I decided to buy an IPad after much deliberation and research I decided to buy this version since it seemed to fit my budget. I was hoping to get the Air but decided that I would go budget. This tablet works really well and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for something budget but performs exceptionally well. I prefer it than a laptop.
