The media could not be loaded. Why I bought it:I ordered this expecting simple LAN control integration with my existing SignalRGB setup. The device does present LAN control, but integration with SignalRGB did not function for me. That alone nearly sent this back.Why I kept it:Once I explored the feature set, I realised how capable the unit is out of the box. The customisation options are extensive. You can pull GIFs from the internet or create and upload your own GIFs and the panel renders them with very good fidelity given the pixel density. The built in functions like countdowns, clocks and weather are useful additions for a gaming desk or streaming setup.Performance and build:The panel delivers rich colour and smooth motion across effects. The 1024 LEDs give a level of detail that shows in animated content. Build quality is clean and the design is purposeful so it fits with most setups. The top mounted buttons are practical for quick changes without reaching for the app.Software and control:The official app is feature packed but has a learning curve. If you want full external control through third party software be aware that the LAN endpoint did not play nicely with SignalRGB in my case. If you rely on SignalRGB for synchronised lighting across devices this will be a deal breaker.Audio:There is a built in speaker and you can upload custom audio. The idea is neat but the speaker itself is low fidelity and best suited to short cues or alerts rather than background music.Value:I paid £69.99 in the Bolo October sales and for that price the device is excellent. Govee sometimes stretches value in their lineup but this one felt worth the money.Pros• Vast colour range and smooth gradients.• 1024 individually addressable LEDs for detailed effects.• Extensive built-in features: timers, countdowns, clocks, weather and more.• Custom GIF and audio upload for personalised effects.• Sleek design with options to mount on a wall or rest on a desk.• Custom buttons on top for quick control.• Excellent value when bought on sale.Cons• LAN control does not work with SignalRGB despite the device exposing LAN control.• Menu and settings are fiddly at first and take a short learning curve.• Speaker quality is poor and best used for short alerts rather than music.Final verdict:If you want a dramatic and highly customisable lighting panel for a gaming or streaming setup and you are happy to use Govee software, this is one of their best devices. If you require third party LAN control with SignalRGB you will be disappointed. Overall I recommend it for builders and streamers who want a strong visual upgrade without spending a lot. It's great for my set-up but I expected a little more options with the 'Dreamview' features. It work great sure just seems a bit basic for what it costs.

It seems I have the honor of leaving the first ever review of this on Bolo UK. Here goes. I bought and received the Govee Pixel Light yesterday, having waited a few months for the larger pixel screen to become available in the UK. Unboxing was great, the usual Govee standard - well packaged and everything in the box that you need. Setup was honestly a breeze. I plugged it in, at which point it booted up with a cheery chime and the Govee logo. I already had the app installed from owning other Govee products so simply loaded it up on my phone. The Pixel light was automatically detected and added to my account. A firmware update was done shortly afterwards which took about 2 minutes. Since then I've played about with the different effects, successfully added it to home assistant via the lan control option and setup daily timings to auto turn on and off at certain times of the day (when we are home). Its very bright, so I've turned the brightness down a little. So far I'm very impressed and happy with it. I had another pixel "frame" from another company about a year ago which just crashed all the time and the software was awful and constantly glitched. The company began with "D" - this is a world apart and I've had no issues at all with it so far. I might even buy another of the smaller size to keep in the room where I work each day - high praise indeed from me :).

I love it! It's a great bit of retro fun going back to those pixel years! Pre-programmed displays make it a breeze to use, also compatible with alexa for control.
