The kids had some acrylic pens so they worked perfectly with these rocks. I guess if you are looking for rocks then I;d recommend them. It's hard to say much about stones but these were smooth enough and absorbed the colours from the pens well. When one of the kids wanted to change it we used some nail polish remover to clean the stone and the paint came off easy enough. Decent sized so you can fit a nice picture on them.

I ordered these as my daughter and I like to paint rocks and leave them for people to find. This is a bag of smallish rocks all between 5 and 8 cm. As they're on the smaller size you are limited in your designs but we've still found them good fun and enjoyed doing the decorating together.

You get a bag of 10 x stones which are all flat and fairly light. I do think the photo in listing is slightly deceptive as the bag I received had all small stones in it so for little ones to paint they may struggle a bit. The quality is great but functionality wise I think they’re overall a bit too small. If you want a better effect when painting I’d recommend larger stones.
