I purchased the Food Sensitivity Test hoping to get a clearer picture of what was affecting my digestion and overall energy — and this kit exceeded my expectations. The collection process was simple and well-explained.The report was incredibly comprehensive, covering over 1,000 items across foods, environmental factors, and even minerals and vitamins. It tested for sensitivities to grains, dairy, meats, seafood, nuts, and fruits, plus pollens, metals, and additives — far more than I expected from an at-home test.What really impressed me was the section on gut health and digestion. It highlighted possible imbalances in enzymes and beneficial bacteria, which helped me understand why certain foods were bothering me. The metals and minerals insights** were also a nice bonus — something I hadn’t seen in other test kits.After adjusting my diet based on the results, I noticed a big improvement in bloating and energy levels. Of course, I still followed up with my doctor, but this test gave me a great starting point.If you’re serious about understanding your food sensitivities and gut health, this is one of the most thorough, effective and informative kits I’ve tried. I ordered the Food Sensitivity Tests 1000. The instructions are clear. You need to cut a few strands of hair, possibly with the root, and place them into the provided pouch. Then you have to send in your hair sample and wait for the result.I was not aware that I would have to pay for shipping. When ordering, the price was around $90. I think a return shipping label/ QR code should be included, but that's my personal opinion.I am still debating whether to do it or not. I am having afterthoughts using this set, concerning my data. I would not have ordered it if I had known all the "fine print".

I feel uniquely qualified to review this item, so I was happy to get the chance to test it out. For decades, I have battled IBS in one form or another, sometimes mixed. I always knew that food had a big role in my symptoms, but it’s so hard to pinpoint exactly what causes flair ups. About three years ago, after covid caused a huge IBS flair where I felt like I couldn’t eat anything without pain and bloating, I used a home test kit from a company that tests blood samples to help figure out food intolerances. That test saved me!!! It found the biggest culprit, yeast, that I had not been able to narrow down, since yeast and foods made with yeast are EVERYWHERE! The blood test also confirmed my suspicions on other foods that I had guessed were problematic from trial and elimination. Fast forward to this test, which uses only hair samples. I was intrigued by this, because the finger stick of the blood test was a lot for me. It took a while to work up the courage to stick myself to submit the sample. Simply sending in a few hairs? Sign me up! I mailed off the hair samples after registering the kit online. Super simple. Within a few days, I had an email that said my results were ready. There is an information video worth watching that will help you interpret your results. And, let me tell you, my results seem to be right on! They matched the results of the blood test almost exactly. While this test did not explicitly say “yeast” is a trigger item, all of the foods that were listed as trigger items were fermented foods, such as “natto, miso, tempeh, sour cream, mushroom, etc.” It did list soy products as potential triggers, which the blood test did not, but I know I feel a lot better if I avoid soy in all forms. The one thing that this test missed for me, and it might be a limitation of hair testing, is chicken. I absolutely cannot eat chicken without the most unpleasant results. But, since I have not had chicken since my blood test three years ago, it seems likely that my head has no hair left from three years ago. Another thing that you will need to dig into is that the additives are all called by their European “E” number, but you can Google a list of those E numbers and see what they are, for instance, E100 is curcumin. This was pointed out as a trigger for me on this test, and the blood test also showed that I have a sensitivity to curcumin. Bottom line on this food sensitivity test is that I was surprised that a hair sample could yield so many results, and that they were quite accurate in my experience. I 100% recommend getting tested for food sensitivities if you suffer from IBS. Avoiding the foods that your body has trouble with made a world of difference for me. I just want to spread the word in the hopes that all of my fellow IBS sufferers might find some relief like I did.

I'm going to give this a 5-star review with some caveats...I chose not to 'go through with it'why - because in the news recently lots of talk of 'collecting data' whether in PII (personally identifying information) and/or other collection uses and selling of databasically you cut 5-8 (or 10-12 if short; any hairs except 'private' areas, ala pubic) hairs and put them in a baggy with a bar code - they perform their tests and provide you a 'basic' result (800 identified results) - and you have to pay for 'upgrades' to the other 2 levels - put the baggy in an envelope (provided - stamp/postage IS required; couldn't even save a few cents with postage included) and wait 3-5 days for resultswhat I wasn't feeling safe about is what happens with that data afterwards - and I'm making NO accusations - for me the juice wasn't worth the squeeze - I don't have (nor my wife) any known food allergies - so when this item was considered and acquired I guess I didn't put enough of the proper thoughts in to it.the upgrades are advanced (1000 items) and premium (1250 items) - I know not the price as I opted not to pursue/participate - so I'll be reviewing from the standpoint of: what you get up to the 'send' partyou get a flimsy cardboard box...with some printing (you too can look at the product images) - you get a single color printout 8.5"x11" (letter) folded in half, printed on 1 side - instructions are easy enough (assuming you've mailed a letter) - it contains a QR code which I LOATH to 'trust' - but also some support web/email addresses - which I didn't care to investigate further - oh and a baggy with a barcode sticker - as referenced aboveknowing now, what I do - I wanted consumers to be aware that your 'dna analysis' will be 'out there' with nary your say in what happens with it - we've learned over the years that 'YOU being the 'product' is risky'. We chose to avoid the riskwish I could review further - hopefully other reviewers (1 other at the time of my typing; said they'd update with results) - I shall not update farther - but will discuss with friends/family to see if anyone is interestedpart of my decision was not wanting to 'waste it' as neither of us have food allergies - and if we do, none we've discovered and/or the effects were minimal to be shrugged off or not realized to be genuine allergiessomeone may come into our 'fold' (girl/boyfriends, wives/husbands, of children and grand-children) that could use this more desperately than we could

My wife has some food alergies that result in many uncomfortable bathroom trips. We thought this kit might give some insight.We started out by trying to register the kit number which was pre-stuck to the hair sample envelope. I tried several times to register using the number provided but it wouldn't work. Finally, I sent pictures to their support which was promptly answered stating they pre-registered the kit for me. Plus 1 star for that. Having that completed, we mailed the hair samples using the pre-adressed envelope. The results came fairly quickly considering the 1300 mile difference.Upon receipt we were strongly encouraged to play a very boring video describing how to get the most out of the results.Finally looking at the actual results that contains multiple pages of results which were absolutely overwhelming. With a feeling of defeat, we gave up without gaining any knowledge. Not recommended.
