I have an Aqara U200 Door Lock and an Aqara P2 Window and Door Sensor in our home. These were connected and controlled via Matter using Google Home Hubs as Thread Border Routers. The problem is the connection kept dropping meaning the automation set up in Google Home app wouldn't work and the door would auto lock on closure.I didn't want to pay £130 for an M3 hub but when this M100 was released at £29.99 I figured it was worth a punt.I've now deleted both the U200 and P2 from the Google Home and the Aqara app and then added them back to the Aqara app again. I've made the M100 the matter controller for the U200 and then added them back to Google Home. Note that the M100 joined the existing Google nest thread network.Now I've set the auto lock automation up in the Aqara app instead.Since doing the above both the U200 and the P2 have maintained a stable connection over Matter and are always accessible in both Google Home and Aqara. In short it's done everything I hoped it would. Highly recommended!!

It seems to work well, I used it to extend my Matter devices in Home Assistant. For the benefit of others this needs to be on the same LAN as Home assistant or it wont add to HA. Ask me how I found out?

I have a lot of Aqara devices in my 'smart' home, and I’ve been looking forward to trying out the M100 hub. My main Aqara hub has always been the E1, which—as many others have said—is extremely stable and rarely gives me any issues. Unfortunately, my experience with the M100 so far has been completely different.I’m using the M100 along with a U200 lock and a contact sensor, all set up on a separate network and placed in a different ‘home’ within the Aqara app. The idea is to use this setup to manage remote access at another property.The main issue I’ve encountered is that the M100 (and therefore the lock and sensor) goes offline roughly an hour after being plugged in. The only way to bring it back online is to power-cycle it—either by switching the socket off and on again or by unplugging and re-plugging it (for countries without switched sockets). Once rebooted, it reconnects almost immediately, but then the cycle repeats about an hour later. Clearly, this won’t work at the remote property where no one will be around to physically reset it.I reported the issue to Aqara support this morning and am currently waiting for a response. I’ll update this review once I hear back from them.When the M100 is connected and online, everything works smoothly.Side note regarding using the U200 lock remotely (as this is a review for the M100):There’s a major caveat that could be a dealbreaker for others with similar use cases—you cannot manage users remotely through the Aqara app. You must be physically near the lock and connected via Bluetooth to be able to add fingerprints (understandable) and add or remove user PIN codes. You can setup a one-time-use (only valid for 15 minutes) PIN and you can lock and unlock the U200 remotely via the Aqara app (as long as the M100 is online!). So basic remote control is possible, but user management is not.If you connect the U200 lock to Apple Home using a Thread Border Router (such as a HomePod mini or Apple TV 4K Gen 3), you can manage user PIN codes remotely through the Apple Home app. That’s likely the route I’ll take, given the current instability of the M100.

Funziona molto bene, piccolo quindi può essere facilmente posizionato in qualche angolo poco visibile e prende per tutta casa senza problemi. Non ha mai perso la connessione e con l'app fà esattamente quello per cui è stato progettato

Buen estado pero fue imposible vincularlo con u200
Perfect to extend Aqara zigbee signals
This worked great out of the box! Setup was easy, connectivity is flawless. It was a good deal for prime day. I needed this to expend my zigbee range of my m3 for devices on the opposite side of my house. I have quite a few no neutral switches so the Aqara H2s were not passing on the signal. The other side of my house now has great zigbee signal strength.
