The boot is quite high and it’s hard to judge the distance when getting close to other parked cars or walls. I have purchased other Auto-Vox cameras before and have always been happy with the quality and relative cheap price compared to their competitors. I have the an Auto-Vox solar reverse camera on our Motorhome that we purchased about a year ago and we are pleased with its performance, so when the new Solar 3C model came out we thought we would get one.I purchased from Bolo and it came the next day. It was an absolute breeze to set up. So easy. Plus, what I liked about the 3C is that it’s got a better screen (small and wide) than our previous model. When I tested (always a good idea before full instal) it was paired already. The only thing you have to do is charge the camera in preparation. I put it on charge and went for a short walk with the dog and it was ready to instal. I installed within 30 minutes.If I were to be hyper critical, the camera moves 70 degrees (up or down), but I would have preferred that to be a just little more, other than that it’s absolutely brilliant. The bracket ensures that it does not interfere with my number plate, so it is hardly noticeable.The picture is clean and crisp with 1080p clarity, there is no untidy wires anywhere, it is completely wireless and seamless. With the solar working, I’ll never have to charge it again (like my one on the motorhome).

This is my second Auto-Vox Camera. I was so pleased with the performance of my first purchase which I currently have installed on my campervan and it has provided great service now for two years. This time I’ve purchased the Auto-Vox 7.2” Solar wireless Reversing Camera with DVR loop recording. Sure enough, within 2 mins the camera was installed to the underside of my number plate. I chose this position to prevent interfering with the number plate lights and boot release latch. The monitor is a good size, not dominating the dashboard. The HD 1080P colour display is excellent, with the option to add an additional camera for a trailer, caravan or forward facing recording. Such a versatile and quality product - I would highly recommend it.

PROS:-------* Zero installation hassles, no wires to fuse boxes or rear lights required.* No drilling anything.* No setup required, instantly paired with display.* Easy to use menu system.* Can keep display on permanently (or 2mins & 4mins).* Appears to have 2 channels so possibly can add another camera(?)* Record/overwrite feature for accident/insurance purposes.* Can tilt camera up/down to suit.* Can turn off reversing lines.* Widescreen display is very nice with contrast/brightness controls.* Build quality seems to be very good.CONS:-------* Camera is very fisheye'd which makes using as a normal rear-view mirror difficult.* Start/Stop systems will turn on the display regularly.* No suction cup option for easy windscreen positioning.* Bracket doesn't offer angles that allows you to position the display where a standard rear-view mirror would go.THOUGHTS:--------------Initially I thought I would use it as a rear-view camera in my new large van but after a good hour-long test drive with it I realised I barely needed to use it, but I will definately be using it to assist with reversing. I didn't like the fisheye effect which put me off from relying on it as a general rear-view.No idea if the solar feature is any good or not just yet, the camera arrived fully charged and I gave it some more charge before installation to make sure it was at full capacity.After deciding to only use it for reversing, I've set it to turn off after 2mins and turned down the brightness a touch so I expect it to last several weeks as advertised, maybe the start/stop feature of my van will reduce the battery a touch quicker.Overall, I'm happy with it.

Great value for money. Really easy setup takes about 15 minutes. I have installed this on my camper and it’s great. Brilliant picture and real time no lagging. I had the older model on my car and this one is better. I wish the screen timeout was longer but it can probably be changed I just haven’t found it yet.

This Auto-Vox 7.2” Solar Powered rear view camera is my second purchase. The first one was the 5” version which I found very easy to install and setup in seconds.I didn’t think that it could have been improved on, but I was mistaken. This new 7.2” wide screen is fantastic, the usual simplicity to install and it looks great but the icing on the cake is that you can select for the screen to stay on all the time until the signal is lost, usually in my case when I have left my caravan in the storage yard ,also the ability to add another camera and have a split viewing screen. The scoring of 5 out of 5 is not high enough. the camera is outstanding and value for money, highly recommend.

Installation really easy! Connection perfect, image perfect. Almost no delay. One small point, you can not select the camera to be permanently on.I use it as a rear dashcam.

The Auto Vox Solar Back Up camera is the second I have owned. This one also can be easily installed and doesn’t require any permanent wiring. I simply attached the camera with solar battery recharging unit to my license plate and plugged the monitor into the lighter plug in. Like my first one the image is sharp and reliable. I like that the newer model has a switch on the plug in to turn the camera on if I want to do it manually. Overall the battery life is good. In the winter months I have to self charge it on occasion due to lack of natural sunlight. In the summer it is no problem. I have found the manual helpful and I keep it in my glove compartment for easy access. It is an essential product for those of us with older vehicles without build in units. I have a blind spot backing out of my driveway and this really helps. Overall I think my Auto Vox solar back up camera was a good purchase and I would recommend it.

Ich bin großer Fan von den Auto-Vox Produkten und habe auch in meinen anderen 4 Fahrzeugen ausschließlich diese Produkte im Einsatz. Nun probiere ich gerne immer neue Produkte aus und habe mich entschieden, in meinen Opel Astra H Baujahr 2004 diese Rückfahrkamera einzubauen.Lieferumfang und VerpackungDie Kamera kommt mitsamt Zubehör in einem sehr stabilen und hochwertigen Karton. Im Karton ist eine Einlage drin, die die verschiedenen Teile voneinander geschützt getrennt hält.Es ist mitgeliefert die Kamera mit dem Solarmodul, das Display, die Halterung für das Display, ein Klebestreifen für das Solar-Kameramodul und Anschlusskabel (Displaykabel und ein USB-C Ladekabel).InstallationDie Installation ist kinderleicht: Man sucht sich eine geeignete Position für das Display und steckt es in die Halterung. Unter der Halterung ist ein Klebepad, man braucht hier zumindest eine einigermaßen ebene Fläche und klebt die Halterung an.Nun wird das Kabel zu einem Zigarettenanzünder geführt und dort angesteckt.Sobald die Rückfahrkamera (es gibt einen kleine Schalter direkt am Stecker des Zigarettenanzünders) aktiviert wird, geht das Display an und das Bild wird sichtbar.Das einzige Kabel, welches man legen muss, ist also das Kabel vom Bildschirm zum Zigarettenanzünder - das wars.EinstellmöglichkeitenAuf der Rückseite des Monitors gibt es drei Knöpfe. Sobald man ins Hauptmenü rein geht, hat man unterschiedliche Optionen wie Helligkeit, Kontrast, Anzeigeformat (gespiegelt oder normal), Rückfahrlinien, Anzeigedauer etc.Außerdem kann man die Kamera hinten mechanisch nach oben und nach unten drehen und so den Anzeigebereich selbst justieren.Lob und KritikBei guten Lichtverhältnissen gibt die Kamera im Zusammenspiel mit dem Display ein sehr schönes Bild. Es gibt keine Verzögerung und das Bild sieht gestochen scharf aus. Lediglich an das breite Format muss man sich gewöhnen, aber das dauert sicher nicht lange, wenn man sich ein paar Referenzpunkte z.B. beim Einparken aussucht.Auto-Vox hat bei den alten Kameras Bildschirme mit matten Panels ausgeliefert. Bei dieser Kamera kommt ein glänzendes Display zum Einsatz. Während Autofahrten und gerade im Sommer kann bei ungünstigen Lichtverhältnissen das Bild schwerer zu erkennen sein, weil sich viele unterschiedliche Dinge darin spiegeln können.Bei dieser Kamera könnt ihr im Menü die Rückfahrlinien ein- und ausschalten und noch die Höhe einstellen. Bei den alten Kameras konnte man noch zusätzlich die Breite der Linien einstellen (je nach Spurweite). Die Linien passen natürlich fast nie zu den Fahrzeugdimensionen, bieten aber, wie oben erwähnt, einen Orientierungspunkt, an dem man sich dann beim Rangieren ausrichten kann.FazitIn Summe bietet das Paket einen sehr niedrigschwelligen Einstieg in die Solar-Rückfahrkamera Welt. Die Installation und Einrichtung ist kinderleicht und dauert in der Regel keine Stunde.Die Haptik ist hochwertig und die Qualität des Bildes lässt in diesem Preisbereich keine Wünsche offen.Wenn jetzt noch das matte Display wieder Einzug hält, bin ich weiterhin sehr glücklich.

Massima semplicità nel montaggio

Ho comprato quest'articolo con un po di titubanza pensando che il collegamento wireless tra la telecamera ed il monitor potesse avere dei problemi. Mi sono dovuto ricredere, quando ho installato il tutto, il colegamento è avvenuto in automatico e non perde mai un colpo. Il dislay si vede molto bene, quello che secopndo me va migliorato è la grandezza del display portato almeno a 7 pllici invece di 5 pollici , il tempo massimo (120 secondi) che il display resta acceso prima di spegnersi in automatico dovrebbe essere aumentato a 300 secondi e aumentare l'angolo di inclinazione della telecamera. Comunque rimane un ottimo sistema per la retromarcia senza bisogno di fare modifiche e cosa più importante non c'è bisogno dell'elettrauto. Consigliatissimo
