There's not a huge amount one can write about a Fire Blanket!This is by Fire Angel, a well-known, trusted brand recommended by the London Fire Brigade, amongst others.The blanket is inside a hard plastic shell with a hole on the back to mount on the wall, (you simply hang it on a screw).The instructions for use are clearly printed on the front, (there are pull tabs to remove the blanket from the plastic shell), but as always with these things, its recommended that anyone who might have to use this familiarise themselves with the information to begin with, as you don't want to be standing there trying to read stuff when there's a fire raging nearby.I've not had to use this, (thankfully), but trust Fire Angel (who also provide my Smoke Detectors) to have provided a great quality, effective fire blanket, which gives me peace of mind that it's there if I ever need it.At the offer price, this is fantastic value and should be an essential item in kitchens, caravans, boats etc. (anywhere your do cooking).

I have optical fire alarms from this company in my house and they have been working, and trouble free for several years so I do have confidence in this brand. The 1m x 1m fibre glass fabric blanket is contained within a hard plastic enclosure with 2 straps protruding from the bottom to quickly release the blanket, this seems to be a fairly standard design for such things. It complies to standard EN 1869: 2019 which specifies requirements for single use blankets to be used by a single person on a small fire.The blanket works by instantly starving the fire of oxygen and can be used on small fires such as those on a stove. It can also be used on a person if their clothing is on fire. The listing states that it must not be used on large or rapidly spreading fires or on Lithium Battery fires as they can burn without oxygen.Despite this being single use and it being clearly stated on the container "Discard after Use" there are very clear instructions on the back showing exactly how to fold the blanket back into its dispenser. This is actually great and would allow the blanket to be replaced safely and ready to use should it have been deployed unnecessarily.This is going to be hung up in the kitchen, I am very happy with it.

There's not a lot to say about unused one-time-use emergency supplies other than will they work when they're supposed to? Being a reputable brand name, I have more confidence that the certifications and all the rest are legitimate. Where health and safety is involved you should ideally not assume good faith.The other thing I can say is that while the unexpected smart plastic box is rather nice, most importantly it's *visible*. I have had one (different brand) in a fabric case for four or five years now near a window and it's faded considerably in the light, making it less easy to catch the eye than this conspicuously bright red one. That's the kind of thing that's not going to crop up for years down the line and is particularly nice to find out about in user reviews, I think.Those two things combined I would, budget permitting, I believe I choose this one over my previous purchase.

Difficult to review as I haven't had to actually use it - and hopefully never will - but outwardly it seems well made and is well-labelled. Why did you choose this product over others?:£8.99 delivered at the time of this review on Bolo. Order arrived on time and well packed.From my perspective this fire blanket from FIREANGEL is very well made, a quality feel, design, and finish. The red pouch is vibrant and thick. The fire blanket is very easy to pull out, a good size for my needs / emergencies in my campervan. Overall taking into account its quality / function to me this is at the current price great value.

The fireangel kitchen fire blanket is a 1x1m blanket designed to put out a wide range of fires. Having small children in the house i wanted a means to extinguish any small kitchen fires where possible and ordered this blanket. It arrives in a handy plastic storage housing which makes for easy storage and can even be wall mounted. The blanket can be easily removed from the enclosure using the instructions on the outer casing. It looks like it'll work as required and from the quality of materials used on the outer layers, i have no doubts the inner quality aren't the same. The set feels very well made and provides peace of mind should you encounter a kitchen fire in the future. For the price it's great value for money, it's good quality has a handy storage case and easy to extract too.

Je n’ai pas ouvert encore et j’espère ne jamais en avoir besoin…je l’ai acheté pour l’assurance de la maison qui l’exige, mais l’objet a l’air efficace, merci.
