My back door lock had broken. It was about 30+ years old so... Decided to order this unit as it looked better than the last one I ordered for my front door. The mechanism arrived very well packed and appeared high quality with no obvious damage or unfinished surfaces.The main mechanism is about 20cm longer than the old one with the various holes in slightly different locations. Since I have the tools required it was pretty easy to fit. I would say, though, if fitting it to an older door without the rotating catches you will need some sort of cutting tool as the door frame needs holes added :-)The back door is now secure! The 3 latches on this are far superior to what I had before and the latch catches on the reciever with little pressure.

Excellent value and well made.Has made a very old, but good quality, uPVC backdoor as good as new.This was so old, the latch mechanism and keep were impossible to source and after at least 25 years of heavy use they were knackered.Was a bit of a faff to fit, but that was due to the door, not this kit. Now fitted it works like a good, brand new door. For the price of this and a Saturday afternoon I'm quids in over a replacement door or 2-300 getting a specialist in.
