Nice chunks of cherry wood, and gave a good flavour to the pork baby back ribs, on the egg bbq.

These wood chunks are high quality. I used them to smoke a brisket, the flavour and smell they produced was incredible! The size of the chunks can vary but none of them were what I would deem as too small to use.My only gripe is that there is a tad to much bark to wood ratio but it didn't spoil the flavour.

Halfway through June we're now into BBQ season here in the UK (weather permitting) so I was happy to be offered this to review. I tend to cook using a kamado as a smoker over charcoal with wood chippings and had not really tried with lump wood pieces before.the wood in the box is all a reasonable size ranging from an inch to three or 4 inches in size which is big enough to produce a prolonged amount of smoke but not so big fitting a couple of pieces in your fire box leaves no room for the charcoal.i found it burns well and produces a good clean smoke. preliminary tests with a couple of small boston butt cut pork shoulders gave an excellent smoke ring and imparted a wonderful smokiness to the finished product.the price is fairly reasonable if you split it across the 10+ big cooks i think i'll be able to get from the one box.i'm interested to give the maple and hickory chunks a try next.

The product was supposed to contain 2.2kg of wood but was only 2.1kg including the box. The wood was supposed to be hickory but there is no hickory scent, which is quite distinctive. The description is wood chunks but there are very few chunks, most pieces are very small and not much use for smoking as they will burn away too quickly. Poor quality.
