As my title says, to ensure you're not disappointed, make sure your car is actually metal and the magnetic plates can actually hold onto something, in addition make sure your car doesn't have some weird curves and I would recommend measuring it out to make sure it fits, something I did not think was needed..So, yeah, the rear of my vehicle is magnetic and actually has curves that made it a bit difficult to find a flat enough spot, it does seem sturdy even if one corner was not really touching anything, but the front was a complete no-go, oddly nothing seemed to stick. Not sure whether the hood itself material is something or the paint work has made a barrier..Best way to be sure is to grab some magnets and test the spots I guess. I'm going to grab my good magnets and test, if it sticks I'll be happy to come and edit this review, if this has not changed presume it's the hood and not the plates.I can't knock this though, they're quite thick, as described and look very clean and high quality, they're also decently magnetic, not the struggle to get it off kind, but once it grips it's solid. They're not the cheapest, but they seem like they'll actually last long enough to gift it away once you're done with them.

Excellent quality L plates – much better than the flimsy ones I’ve used in the past. The magnets are strong and hold firmly in place, even at motorway speeds and in heavy rain. No scratching or marks left on the car when removed. They’re the proper DVLA size and very visible on the road. A durable, reusable set that will last through plenty of practice drives. Spot on.

They've only had a quick trial as my boy's test hasn't come up yet so if they unexpectedly fly off I'll be back.

A set of sturdy L plates, with good magnetic force to keep them in place no matter what. There isn't too much to say - they do what they are supposed to. And at £6.99 they are good value too.

These magnetic L & P plates are exactly what I needed for a clean, safe, and reliable solution while teaching my teen to drive. The magnets are strong and stay put even at motorway speeds, no fluttering or falling off like the suction cup or sticky ones we’ve tried before. I really appreciate the extra thickness; they feel sturdy and professional, not flimsy at all. No residue, no damage to the paint, and they’re super easy to reposition or remove. The size and bold lettering meet the DVLA specs perfectly, so visibility is spot-on for safety. If your car doesn’t have a metal boot like ours, a bit of tape inside the window works just fine. Definitely recommend these over the cheaper alternatives, they’re worth it for peace of mind and durability.
