On opening the box you have the stuffing, wool, the pad for felting, 24 needles of varying sizes and some needles with a small kink at the bottom , an awl, scissors, eyes and keychain attachments. You don't need anything else. The booklet is very comprehensive and if you are unsure there are loads of online tutorials to help you out. So I have managed to make the half black, half white cat first and I am quite surprised that it only took me, bear in mind absolute beginner, a couple of hours to do. I think I have found yet another craft to add to my hobby list. It's easy to do and this kit is brilliant as it's simple, you get results and the products provided together with the booklet make it a great introduction to needle felting
