My dear, if you're anything like me and enjoy a spot of artisanal fabrication – perhaps a custom 3D printed enclosure for a clever bit of tech, or a beautifully crafted prototype for a new design – then these HOLMOL Threaded Inserts are an absolute revelation. Honestly, I don't know how I managed without them.This 360-piece assortment is just terribly comprehensive, covering all the essential sizes for creating robust, professional-grade threaded connections in plastic. The quality is truly exceptional; they press in beautifully with a bit of heat – I use my trusty soldering iron, you know – creating a wonderfully strong, clean thread that holds up splendidly. No more stripping flimsy plastic, thank heavens!They've utterly transformed the integrity and finish of my various projects. It elevates one's work from "a bit of a hack" to something genuinely refined and durable. A really clever bit of kit, and frankly, a superb investment for anyone serious about their making. 4.0 out of 5 stars Good quality threads.But make sure to use the correct tool tip for melting.
The product works as expected on the whole. However contrary to most advice, a special tool is needed to insert these correctly. An ordinary soldering iron tip that does not go all the way through the insert will push the insert into the plastic. However it will fill the insert with the melted debris making it difficult to screw a bolt into the insert without first clearing the blocked thread.

I purchased these as after i got 100 m3 ones i have made a few 3d prints that seem to use the 2mm and 2.5mm just my luck.Anyway this is a great kit with various sizes all up to m6 and 1/4" being the biggest.

Good selection of inserts at a competative price. If only they had been bagged in the box because the smaller ones had migrated into other box sections. Insert well and the little step on the bottom enables positive alignment in the hole proior to pressing into place. I can see them woring well for heat and epoxy insertion.

Inserts look fine but havent tested extensivley, however the case they come in doesent keep them seperated well so they were all mixed up when they arrived.

Das Sortiment lässt für den Modellbau keine Wünsche offen. Verschiedene Gewindegrößen und Längen, halten super im Kustsoff und scheinen von guter Qualität zu sein. Top Sache!

Ich habe das 360‑teilige HOLMOL Gewindeeinsatz‑Set für verschiedene Reparaturen in meiner CNC‑Werkstatt getestet und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden:Umfang & AuswahlMit 360 Einsätzen in den gängigsten Metrik‑Größen (M3 bis M10) ist das Set hervorragend sortiert. Für kleine Gehäuseschrauben bis hin zu größeren Maschinenteilen findet sich immer der passende Einsatz. Dank der beschrifteten Fächer verliert man beim Basteln nicht den Überblick.Material & VerarbeitungDie Einsätze wirken aus gehärtetem Stahl gefertigt und sind sauber geschnitten – keine Grate oder Ausbrüche. Bei den Einschmelzhülsen habe ich allerdings bei einigen den Eindruck, dass die Wandstärke minimal schwankt. Das sollte die Stabilität in Metall zwar kaum beeinflussen, erwähne ich aber der Vollständigkeit halber.Einbau & HandlingIch habe die Einsätze mit einer handelsüblichen Lötspitze eingeschmolzen und per Gewindeschneider nachgeschnitten. Das funktioniert grundsätzlich reibungslos, erfordert aber ruhige Hände und etwas Übung. An Stellen mit begrenztem Zugang muss man vorsichtig sein, damit der Einsatz wirklich gerade sitzt.Anwendung & ErgebnisSowohl in Alu‑ als auch in Zinkdruckgussgehäusen halten die neuen Gewinde fest – kein Spiel, keine lockeren Schrauben. Selbst nach mehrmaligem Eindrehen von Schrauben sitzt alles bombenfest. Ideal, um ausgenudelte Gewinde schnell wieder in Stand zu setzen.Fazit:Ein sehr umfangreiches und robustes Gewindeeinsatz‑Set für den ambitionierten Heimwerker oder Profi. Ein Stern Abzug, weil das Einschmelzen etwas Fingerspitzengefühl braucht und die Hülsen geringfügig ungleichmäßig sein können – empfehlenswert, wenn man öfter Gewinde repariert!
Gute Qualität aber schlecht verpackt
Leider durch den Versand alles durchmischt. Das ist natürlich ärgerlich. Vielleicht sollte die Verpackung überdacht werden. Ansonsten wirkt das Produkt stabil und hochwertig.
