I love the box packaging because it is much more hygienic.This is one of the methods used to track your body temperature in order to track ovulation. It is one of the most accurate ways to measure as its used under your tongue.The good thing is that the tip is waterproof so its washable. Because the thermometer is used inside the mouth, it’s very important to wash it after each use. It is the ip22 feature which makes it waterproof. It even comes with a storage case for a better and hygienic storage.Highly recommended and worth the price.I have been tracking my bbt since a month now to track ovulation and it’s quite accurate.

You can get a near identical device for £12.59 at Superdrug and £7.99 here - and I rate both as good.How I tested[1] sensitive to change ? - I got warm water and added small drops of cold water to see if the device could pick up changes as little as 0.02 degrees C; and it did[2] in agreement ? - I tested this with our other device and they were very close, <0.04 difference at any time. Now the critical thing when measuring ovulation cycles is consistency - use the same thermometer in the same way each morning and it is not the exact temperature that matters but the sudden change. I discovered ihave a 31 to 32 day cycle, so just counting 28 days would be a bad idea for me.Crucially then plot the early morning temperature cycles on a chart for 2-3 months (you can buy charts, but lots of websites have them to print out). Most people cannot do mouth readings repeatedly to accuracy of <0.1 degree - I was taught to do vaginal temperature which is easy to do in bed.The device indicates when it has a stable reading - pull it out and check. It also means you can check your cervical mucus at the same time. You are most fertile when your CM reaches a peak of wetness and slipperiness. If that coincides with the temperature "step" it's time to gently wake the DH for some baby making romance before breakfast !The device seems well made - mine has now had it's tip in warm soapy water several times and works fine.I say these are good and excellent value too = a 5***** rating

Easy to use thermometer. Great for monitoring changes in your body temperature. I had one form another company so I compared the readings and they actually matched. So I am satisfied that readings are reliable.

Easy to use (it bleeps when it’s ready, and holds the reading) and at a great price, recommended. Love the instructions - do not use orally after using rectally - sensible advice.

Although this thermometer does appear to give good readings, they take forever to stabilise.You can use it either orally, under the armpits or via the rectum. I choose to use the mouth method when using it.I found it took far to long before it would bleep and lock onto a temperature. This could be an issue if using this with children as they're not going to want to keep it in place whilst it counts upwards.A sick child or even adult may find this intrusive, you want as quick as possible results when someone is feeling sick after all.Other than that it preforms as expected.

I was looking forward to receiving this thermometer, and pleased with the way it looked and felt, and that it also came with a clear storage case. However, the purpose of getting it was to reliably take body temperature, and my initial tests do not show that this is the case.I took my temperature (orally, not using the other suggested body parts), and 4 readings taken over the space of less than 15 minutes (whilst remaining in the same place in a warm room) gave 4 different results (see photos of two of them). Normal body temperature is at or very close to 37°C, and if my temperature dropped as low as the recorded 35.6°C that one of the readings suggested, then I would be seriously concerned about hypothermia!I will be checking this further against a known reliable thermometer as soon as I have the opportunity, but at present, I have no confidence in the readings it is giving.Only 1 star from me, and that's for the design, not the performance!

Basalthermometer funktionieren wie herkömmliche Fiebermesser, messen aber in einem engeren Temperaturbereich mit höherer Genauigkeit. Durch die mitgelieferte Schutzhülle ist es auch immer gut aufzubewahren. Die Anwendung - auch die Basalmessmethode - ist in der Anleitung gut erklärt. Im Vergleich zu den modernen Infrarot-Fiebermessgeräten dauert die Messung etwas länger bis das Ergebnis angezeigt wird.

Das Thermometer dient in erster Linie dazu, den Zyklus, vor allem in Bezug auf die fruchtbaren Tage, zu messen.Das Thermometer ist oral anzuwenden und liefert nach kurzer Zeit ein genaues Ergebnis. Grund, dieses Thermometer zu nutzen, war die genaue Temperaturangabe mit zwei Nachkommastellen. Die meisten Infrarotmessgeräte haben lediglich eine Nachkommastelle, was die Messung natürlich entsprechend schwammig ausfallen lässt.Die Genauigkeit scheint auch sehr gut gegeben. Mit einem herkömmlichen Thermometer (mit einer Nachkommastelle), welches ich bisher nutzte, habe ich im Anschluss Kontrollmessungen durchgeführt und diese stimmten (quasi - es fehlt ja die zweite Nachkommastelle) überein.Klare Kaufempfehlung!
