You have to move the head very slowly around the pool bottom for it to be really effective.However it does pick up effectively.

This is great for getting the bottom of a small pool or a hot tub clean after a season where it's not been used and kept clean regularly. You do need a certain amount of depth before you can actually engage the pump, but that's fine with any actual swimming pool or hot tub that I've encountered and if your water feature is very shallow, you don't really need something on a long pole anyway.It's battery operated which is great, and has well over an hour of life in it as per my testing, which I think is enough for most hot tub owners and I'm sure a lot of smaller pools in the UK.It is a lot lighter than I'd have expected.At this point I would expect any lower power draw device to be charged with USB C but unfortunately this is not the case here. Realistically though this would be kept in your pool house or near the hot tub and the fact you even have one suggests the price of this is not outside your means and finding a location to charge it that's not used for much else is unlikely to be a major problem either.

We have a vacuum that you attach to the hose, and for the job I needed it for, it just did not work. The algae was far too fine and went straight through the net bag. So I asked if this vacuum would lift up fine algae, manufacturer said ‘no’ but I say ‘yes it does’. I had to empty/clean the filter 5 times on a 10 foot pool. (We came home to an extremely green pool after 4 days). But the next day only twice. I had loaded it with chemicals which worked.Whilst the vacuum section of this is good, the rest is the cheapest plastic you could get. That’s why it’s got 3 stars not 5. I feel it is very overpriced at £83. I’d say nearer £45/50 is more realistic.I do sort of recommend this if you need a fine catcher.

This pool vacuum is easy to use and works well for cleaning my hot tub. The adjustable handle makes it comfortable to use, and the rechargeable battery lasts a good amount of time, which is plenty for a full clean. It is priced at £95.99 at the time of review, which I think is a little expensive considering the overall performance and build quality.
