Allergy Test: Rashes and itching may occur in people who are sensitive to animal fats, a topical skin test is recommended before use. Always try on a small area on the inside of the wrist or behind the ear before use and observe for 24 hours. If allergic reactions such as redness, swelling, itching and burning sensation occur, discontinue use immediately and wash off. Not for use on open wounds: use only on intact skin! Do not apply directly to severe burns, deep cuts, septic wounds or unhealed wounds as this may increase the risk of infection. Use with caution in special groups: Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, infants and young children, patients with abnormalities of the immune system or severe skin diseases are advised to consult a doctor before deciding whether to use. Avoid contact with mucous membranes and eyes: If inadvertent eye contact occurs, flush immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary. Do not use on oral, nasal or intimate mucous membrane areas. Risk of high temperature and oxidation: keep in a cool and dry place (below 25°C recommended) and avoid direct sunlight. Discontinue use if the cream develops an odour, discolouration or separation of texture. Child and Pet Safety: Store out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion. If a small amount is accidentally ingested, it may cause gastrointestinal discomfort. If a large amount is accidentally ingested, immediate medical attention is required. Ingredient Risk Warning: Prohibited if sensitive to ingredients of animal origin (tallow). If the formula contains essential oils or other additives, please check additionally if you are allergic to the ingredients. Avoid mixing with medication: If you are using prescription creams (e.g. hormonal, antibiotic topicals), apply tallow creams at least 1 hour apart or as directed by your doctor. Not a substitute for professional treatment: Butter Balm is intended to be used only as a skincare supplement or traditional treatment and not as a substitute for medication. If skin problems continue to worsen (e.g. severe eczema, spreading of the rash), seek medical advice.
