Tramming the cnc is an essential operation on any cnc machine and this makes the job so much easier and quicker. Unless the machine is properly trammed you will never get a flat surface without stepping marks or consistent v carved letters or 3d carving. I wished I had bought one 5 year ago it would have saved much frustration and wasted time.

I got this calibration system for my CNC router, which I use in my workshop to create wooden decorative pieces. I needed a reliable tool to precisely level the Z-axis and calibrate the machine after switching between different cutter diameters.The kit includes 1/2", 1/4", and 1/8" shanks, along with a 0.001" accuracy indicator, which immediately caught my attention since it eliminates the need for constant readjustments when switching between tasks.It’s ready to use straight out of the box—the shanks and indicator are pre-assembled. The materials feel solid, with an anodized aluminum body and hardened steel adapters. Everything fits tightly into the machine’s slots without any play, ensuring stability. The only thing I had to do was carefully secure the indicator in place with the included hex key, which took no more than five minutes.This tool is a game-changer when working with different bit sizes. For example, I use the 1/2" shank for rough cutting and switch to 1/8" for fine engraving without needing extra adapters. Just last week, it helped me quickly transition between carving deep slots and engraving lettering on a sign.Most importantly, it eliminated alignment issues. Before, even a slight misalignment could ruin a workpiece, especially when working with expensive hardwood. Mine had a dial indicator shaft which is 1/8 too long, and the other reviews say this is precise l 🤦♂️, do yourself a favour spend the extra £50 and get a proper dial indicator for your spoilboard and not this Chinese kack!

It comes with 1/2", 1/4", and 1/8" shanks, so it fits a bunch of setups, and the 0.001" precision indicators are spot-on for getting your machine leveled and squared. It feels solid, made from tough aluminum and stainless steel, and it’s super easy to use, even if you’re not a pro. I chucked the 1/2" shank into my CNC router to tram the spindle before milling a wood sign. I spun it across the table, tweaked the head until both dials matched, and cuts were dead even, no more uneven depths.

やはり こういう DIY の部品というか そういうものは普通に使えて当たり前と言うか 普通に使えれば 大満足です。中国製などは歪んでいたり数値の精度が低かったり バリがあったり ネジがうまくはまらなかったりすることも たまにあったりするのですが この商品は普通に取り付けて使えました
