Compact, powerful, beginner Friendly introduction

As someone new to vinyl and card cutting, I was looking for a machine that was easy to use, affordable, and compact—and the Likcut S501 checks all those boxes and more.Right out of the box, setup was fast and straightforward. It includes everything a beginner needs to get started: vinyl sheets, transfer tape, a cutting mat, weeding tools, and even a watercolor pen. I had it up and running in under 15 minutes. The companion app, available for both iOS and Android, is intuitive and beginner-friendly. While it’s still evolving, it’s more than capable for everyday use, and it offers access to a large library of free designs and fonts through the Likcut Design Store—which has been a great creative resource.The cutting quality is excellent. It produces clean, precise cuts, even on intricate shapes and small fonts. I’ve tested it with standard vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, and cardstock, and it’s performed consistently well. It’s also surprisingly quiet—perfect for crafting in the evenings without disturbing anyone.One of the biggest advantages of the S501 is its portability. It’s lightweight and compact enough to fit in a tote bag, making it ideal for small spaces or crafting on the go. It connects to your device via USB-C and pairs with the app over Bluetooth (note: it’s not rechargeable, and there’s no WiFi, but those are fair trade-offs at this price point).That said, there are some limitations to be aware of. The cutting depth isn’t as powerful as what you’d get from higher-end machines, and there are no physical controls on the device itself. Color printing isn’t built-in, so if you want multi-colored designs, you’ll need to use a separate printer. Also, some of the app’s advanced features require a subscription, which may be a drawback for some users.Still, the Likcut S501 is a fantastic starter machine for hobbyists. It’s easy to learn, fun to use, and packed with value. While it’s not designed for heavy-duty or commercial projects, it’s perfect for personal crafting and smaller creative tasks. If you’re just getting started or want a portable second machine, this one is well worth the investment.

Der Plotter ist top, macht eine gute Arbeit und für meine Zwecke gute Größe. Die Handy APP ist OK, doch die PC Software ist grausam Personalisierte oder eigene Designs hängen sich auf und müssen neu gestartet werden, zuvor abgelegte Designs nachzuarbeiten ist fast unmöglich. Hinzukommt für mehr Funktionen Monatliche zusätzliche Kosten.MfG BCO

I honestly wasn’t expecting to love the Likcut S501 as much as I do, but it has quickly become one of my favorite crafting tools!As someone fairly new to vinyl cutting, I was looking for something small, affordable, and easy to us and this machine checks all the boxes 🔥Setup was a breeze it comes with everything you need to get started: vinyl sheets, transfer tape, a cutting mat, and even tools for weeding and a watercolor pen! I had it up and running in less than 15 minutes. The app is beginner-friendly, and while it's still evolving, it’s more than enough for everyday designs. +1 for the access to a massive library of free designs and fonts through the Likcut Design Store. I haven’t even scratched the surface of what’s available there.The cutting quality is fantastic—clean, precise lines, even with intricate shapes and smaller fonts. I’ve used it on vinyl, heat transfer vinyl, and cardstock, and it performs great across the board. It’s surprisingly quiet too, which is a huge plus since I often craft in the evenings.Regarding the portability, the S501 is so lightweight and compact compared to a big Cricut Maker. It can fit in a tote bag and plugs right into my laptop with a USB-C cable (note: it’s not rechargeable, but I didn’t expect it to be at this price point).In short, the Likcut S501 is a stellar little machine that punches way above its weight. I’m genuinely impressed with the Likcut cutting machine! It works exceptionally well and is very user-friendly, even for someone who’s used to more complex machines. Compared to my Cricut Maker 3—which often frustrates me with blade detection issues, poor cuts, and the need for repeated calibrations—Likcut has been a breath of fresh air.Setup was simple, and I was up and running in no time. The machine cuts cleanly and accurately without the hassle, and I haven’t had to recalibrate once. It’s clear that Likcut was designed with ease and efficiency in mind. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and stress-free cutting machine!
