Despite all the previous excellent reviews on this stand it's still better than I anticipated it would be. The stand feels like a high quality item and is constructed from metal. It's solid and sturdy and the weighted base holds it steady for me whilst I'm working.The stand is really flexible and easy to use, you can simply rotate it and lower / raise it to where you want it to be and with my digital microscope it just holds put. The equipment grip on the end of the arm is actually very good indeed and allows a lot of variety in what you could use this stand for. When I'm not using the microscope for work (I repair circuit boards and machinery) I can use this to hold a torch and it's a wonderful helping hand.Apart from the heavy base there's also a desk grip clamp included that can securely bolt the stand in place. I'll probably never use the clamp as the stand on the base is more than enough for my needs, but many people may have need of it and it's nice to have the option.I was also pleased at the size of this stand and how far it can be extended. Most of my work will be for close up detail, but for use with a light or holding other equipment it's great to be able to have it extend further.Overall this is a great stand and I'm pleased I ordered this. Excellent value for money and highly recommended.

I'm surprised at how solid this stand is for the money. Sure it's no more than an angle-poise lamp with the lamp bit removed, but the quality of the extending arm and its usefully heavy base inspires confidence. The clamping hardware for devices is effective and stable with no concerns of dropping its load. Very handy for attaching a model-making lamp and magnifier for those fiddly building and painting jobs. Being metal, it should also withstand any accidental contact from a soldering iron or solvents. Very nice!

This stand is very sturdy and supports it's own weight admirably, depending on what you attach. I know it says for a microscope, but i'm currently using it for a webcam/streaming and it's working great, nice range of movement, great construction. Recommended.

I was offered this Microscope stand, free of charge, for an honest review under the 'Vine' Program.I had already purchased one articulated arm with a ‘ring’ holder for my microscope and attached it to my bench, but was happy to accept this item for review as I needed a second one to hold a torch to shine a brighter light on the item being examined under the scope. Both arms are now clamped side by side giving me the perfect solution for my needs.This product has a shorter horizontal reach (by about 6-7 inches) than the one I already owned and the importance and the extent of the horizontal reach is something you may want to consider. On the plus side, the clamp is much sturdier/‘heavy duty’ than the one I already had and is very secure when attached to the bench. Also, instead of a ‘ring’ holder for the microscope, this product has spring jaws which can accommodate a range of items as well as microscopes This makes it more versatile..Another good feature is the included base which means that I can simply remove the arm from the desk clamp anytime I want and place it in the base away from the workbench for other tasks.I find the arm to be extremely tight in movement and the bottom springs ‘twang’ when the arm is extended fully. This was a bit disconcerting at first but everything continues to work fine. Altogether I consider this a good product which is fit for a variety of uses and, at the time of my review, it was decently priced.

I ordered this to use with all sorts of things, not just microscopes. I use it as a lamp, a camera stand (vertically or horizontally - useful for documents), etc...It uses a standard thread fitting, M6 I think, though I didn't double-check, so it's easy to use with more fittings than the clamp it comes with. In my pictures, I'm using it with a standard cord light using the clamp the stand came with, it works as a work light or decorative lamp, depending on the bulb.It's well made and finished, the whole stand has a matte/satin black finish. The stand is metal, including the hinge plates, cross-bars, and springs, the adjustment screws are stainless steel. It's not that heavy but sturdily built, the clamp is cast metal and the base is plastic, with a weight inside. The base isn't so heavy but works well enough. The clamp is more stable, but that's always true with anglepoise lamps unless the base is extremely heavy.When first trying to use it, I was not impressed because it was so difficult to adjust, even after loosening the thumb screws. I had to loosen all the joint screws quite a bit to get it to move smoothly, now, it's great. I think they must be over-tightened for transit, so it doesn't spring open and break the box...They should have put a note about this in the box or on the item page, or maybe it should have been obvious to me...I will put a little grease on the joints when I have time.Anglepoise stands and lamps are always pricey, so the price for this one is pretty reasonable, and it's well made and finished (I was worried the whole thing would be plastic since the product page doesn't specify). It's a good size to use on a desk or work table, and for me, it's a versatile tool, it looks good too. Its only downside is the base, but for the price, it's good to even get one, and the clamp is excellent, and made of cast metal. They're both useful.

Aunque el producto se describe así, como un soporte para cámara microscopio, la verdad es que el diseño con el que está realizado este brazo articulado permite su utilización para muchas más posibilidades de las que se facilitan en la descripcion del producto, por lo que podemos decir sin temor a equivocarnos que nos hallamos delante de un artículo sumamente versátil. Me gustado mucho que el fabricante ha facilitado dos formas de sujeción del brazo articulado, una mediante una base que permite aguantar muy bien el peso de una cámara (incluso mucho más), y otra mediante una sujeción de apriete con tornillo que podemos fijar al lateral de una mesa y que sujeta muy bien el brazo y que personalmente me gusta mucho más (pero para preferencias, los colores). El brazo puede subirse y bajarse sin limitaciones, lo que permite acercar o alejar la cámara a nuestra conveniencia para ajustar el foco de la imagen de una forma sencilla. El único punto que no me ha gustado mucho, es que la conexion entre la pieza de plástico de la pinza y el engaste metálico que va al brazo articulado tiene una ligera tendencia a desenrroscarse. Hubiera sido mucho mejor asegurar de algún modo más firme esta pieza... pero en lineas generales cumple muy bien su función. Bravo!!!

Solide, stable et facile à monter

Très bon support, bien plus rigide que ce que je pensais, ce qui permet de stabiliser efficacement un microscope numérique. La pince, même en plastique, se fixe facilement et offre une bonne amplitude de mouvements. Le montage est simple, sans outil, et se fait en quelques minutes.Le support peut tenir une charge de 180g sans aucun souci. Seule la base seule montre ses limites à pleine extension, mais le système de fixation fourni pour le bureau compense parfaitement ce point. Pratique, stable et bien conçu, c’est une très bonne surprise pour l’atelier ou l’espace de bricolage.

Per un prezzo così basso la qualità è veramente buona, pur non essendo estremamente pratico, per lavori dove serve vedere quello che stai facendo è essenziale!Unica pecca è che con il braccio attaccato al banco di lavoro l’immagine traballa un pochino se ti muovi, ma nulla di inaspettato.

schöner Tischständer für das Lötmikroskop oder auch für Mikrofone

Ich nutze diesen Ständer hauptsächlich beim Löten, weil mein Mikroskop zwar einen eigenen Fuß hat, aber größere Platinen dort einfach nicht mehr drunterpassen. Der hier schafft da Abhilfe. Er hat einen schweren Standfuß, steht dadurch ruhig und verrutscht nicht, selbst wenn man beim Arbeiten mal gegen den Tisch stößt. Die Klemme nimmt mein USB-Mikroskop auf, man könnte aber auch ein Mikrofon oder eine andere kleine Kamera daran befestigen. Man kann den Ständer natürlich auch für alles andere verwenden, wenn man beispielsweise etwas klebt oder so.Was mir gefällt, ist die Beweglichkeit. Der Arm lässt sich in viele Richtungen verstellen, auch nach ganz unten oder schräg zur Seite. Dadurch kann man sich das Sichtfeld wirklich flexibel einstellen, ohne lange herumzuschrauben. Die Verarbeitung macht einen guten Eindruck – nichts wackelt, die Gelenke halten gut und bleiben in der eingestellten Position, sind nicht lummelig.Für meinen Zweck – Platinen unter dem Mikroskop bearbeiten, Löten usw – ist das eine sehr praktische Sache. Ich hätte mir gewünscht, dass mein Mikroskop direkt so einen flexiblen Arm gehabt hätte.
