These kits are a fantastic idea! The idea of making my own candles had never occurred to me before, but the instructions provided with this walk you through the process step by step, and it's so easy that anyone could do it.You're given every ingredient you need for this, including the beeswax, the melting pot, wicks, tins, dyes and fragrances. The only thing it is perhaps missing is a thermometer, as you do need to ensure the wax is below 170 degrees before adding the fragrance.It doesn't take long to make the candles. It took me around 20 minutes from start to finish. Once done, the candles burn really nicely and with a very strong scent if, like me, you intentionally go overboard with the scented oils.One thing that struck me as odd was the quantities of items provided. There are nine tins, and enough beeswax for nine candles, so this seems like the natural limit. However, you are also provided with 100 wicks, for some bizarre reason. Seems to me that 91 of these will end up going to waste. You're also given four sets of two dyes, and six fragrance oils. I'm not sure how either of these things are supposed to be divided between nine candles.Aside from the slight wastage, though, these are a great idea if you're into your DIY experiences.

Lovely kit prefect for newbie, all you need is in the kit, pots could have a bit bigger. But still happyAlso as a newbie some kind of instruction on how much fragrance to use would be helpful too.

This is a wonderful set, especially as a gift for any craft lovers. It comes with everything you need to create some lovely scented candles. The instructions are easy to follow, and you'll soon be making more custom creations with various vessels! I also have a heating plate, that works great with this! however using a saucepan with water is jut as easy. Some of the scents can be a little potent, so be careful with quantities, but this is a highly recommended kit for those new to the hobby!
