My Bluetooth Keyboard arrived on time 2 days ago. It feels well made & was very easy to pair with my iPhone, iPad Pro & Bolo Fire tablet. The keys have a nice positive action & click when pressed. I also like the handy little stand that comes in the pack, along with the charger. The stand works well with my iPhone & Bolo tablet. I won’t need to use it with the iPad as my iPad already has its own stand. I don’t agree with some reviews which say they hit their right thumb on the central hinge when pressing the space bar. I don’t know how they hit this hinge, my thumb naturally hits the centre of the space bar & nowhere near the hinge, so this is not an issue whatsoever. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

Brilliant little keyboard. Fits in a jacket pocket and is slightly larger than an IPhone 13 or equivalent. In regard to use case, I use the XK01 as my remote desktop keyboard when away from home and it is arguably the best travel keyboard out there, however I was finding it was a bit too bulky to carry with me when I was out for the afternoon and I wanted to leave my laptop/ remote setup in situ. The new XK04 is a keyboard I can see as something that can fill this gap, as this is a perfect size to carry in a jacket pocket for when I'm working from a cafe with my phone as my main note taking device. Although I've only had this keyboard for a few hours, ProtoArc's XK04 is very similar in its overall appearance to a generic folding keyboard I've been using recently, but it appears to be more refined in design, use of materials, key travel and overall usability. My only minor criticism would be the size of the function row, as I think this could be smaller in future revisions to allow for the main keys to be slightly larger, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall this keyboard is much better than other offerings I've seen to date at this size/ form factor. Definitely recommend.

Just received the product. Connection is quick and easy. Very small size when folded. Typing quality as expected for a small mobile keyboard. The colour coded lettering on key faces for the key combinations is very nicely done and improves ease of use. Good value for money. The reason it does not get 5 stars is the lettering on the key faces are just transfers so I don't know how long they will last.

Been using this for a few days now and it’s not been a disappointment, the connection is instant, the design is useful and compact - easy to store out of the way, the buttons function really well all in all a great value for money and if I needed to purchase another I would.

This little foldable wizard fits in my bag like it’s sneaking across borders.Solid Bluetooth, decent typing feel, and folds up like it's part of a spy kit.Perfect for cafes, airports, and pretending you’re writing your novel (even if it’s just emails).Take that, travel chaos.

This is a really-neat, well-designed little keyboard that's easy to love and would be perfect for very-occasional travel use. It's great value for money and seems well built.There are two problems, however. Firstly, the keyboard isn't angled, so that makes it unpleasant for typing. Secondly, there's a hinge (from the folding mechanism) bang in the middle of the bottom edge, right where your thumbs sit in the "home position". Now, if you're a "hunt and peck" typist, that won't be a problem - but for us touch-typists it's a major irritation, and the reason I ended up returning the keyboard.For me, Apple's brilliant "Magic Keyboard" doesn't take up much more volume or weight, so that's what I ended up buying. Windows users may need to find something else.

New life for my old technology
I have been traveling with my 2017 iPad Pro and Apple Smart Keyboard instead of my laptop, but the iPad and keyboard recently "unfriended" one another. I don’t know which is at fault, but the obvious and least expensive solution was a Bluetooth keyboard. This new folding keyboard was easy to set up, and works perfectly with my iPad as well as my phone. So maybe I could even leave the iPad at home. A function key combination switches it between paired devices, which is cool. The new keyboard is small and light, but not flimsy. The keys are protected by folding, just right for travel. It is pleasant to type on. I have big hands and they do not feel any more cramped than on the Apple keyboard.The two things I didn’t immediately like were that if I type with it on my lap it wants to fold, (so I reposition it over one leg) and if my hands are sloppy the bottom hinge rubs my right thumb (so I correct my hand posture to lift my wrists, as I was originally taught). The little fold-flat stand that comes with the keyboard is angle-adjustable, supports the ipad with its case, and the design is ingenious.So I'm very happy with this purchase, which is saving me a lot of money by prolonging the life of my iPad.
High quality keyboard
Really high quality keyboard, it comes with a stand for the smartphone and a standard USB type C charging cable, the only issue that it does not have Arabic characters on it, but that is not a big of a deal
Ideal Travel K/Board for multi-use.
Good quality and instructions. Now linked to iPhone, iPad mini and iPad Air. Will use on travels and its ideal. I had bought a cheaper unit about a year ago and never satisfied with cheap. This one is a good investment.
Couldn't Be Happier
I was looking for a compact keyboard to pair with a small tablet that I could travel with. This has to be the coolest keyboard I have ever seen. It folds into the size of two wallets, or not much bigger than my cell phone. The embedded protective case is a great touch. It paired nearly instantly with my cheap Android tablet and the typing experience is more than I could have hoped for. There is some occasional minor lag which I attribute to the low end tablet more than the keyboard, and no keystrokes were missed. I found I could type almost as fast as I can on my PC full size keyboard.Bonus points for supporting up to three devices that you can easily alternate between. I can potentially pair it with my cell phone too then if I wanted to. Even more bonus points for the basic but effective compact folding stand that is included. I hadn't even considered this and was delighted when I discovered it in the box. Even the packaging was compact and well engineered. The keyboard is thin and light, yet feels sturdy and is a pleasure to type on. I am excited for my travels and can't wait to use it now. I am sure I can find other great use cases for it too.I had briefly considered purchasing a cheap Chromebook instead of this combo, but I am so glad I didn't. This combo of tablet and separate keyboard gives me the best of both worlds as well as shaving off precious weight during my trip.
Great key travel and small size
The media could not be loaded. I bought this to pair with my recent purchase of a Lenovo Legion Tab 3 Android Tablet.I liked the idea of this version over the full size XK01, since this is a small tablet. Bluetooth pairing was fast and painless. I haven't tested the 5 month battery life claim yet, but so far, no problems.The really good things:~ Key travel is great despite being so thin.~ The fold is super smooth, never gets stuck.~ It does fit in my pocket, but I am neither skinny nor are my pants.~ Solid build quality.The bad (well not bad so as challenging):~ The placement of the space bar...I get it, though, it has to fold in the middle so the space is slightly offset. I thought this would throw off my writing, and it did for about a day. However, I quickly developed the muscle memory and now I have no missed clicks. Pretty easy to get used to.Would I like keys that are like 10% larger, YES! I really don't travel with this in my pocket, so a slightly larger size would not matter to me.I am super impressed with this product and it is my first Protoarc product. I was doubtful about their PC mice and trackballs, but based on this I would be willing to try one of their mice.
