Precautions for water injection in quicksand coating 1. Be sure to use pure water or boiling water for cooling
2. Similar to the above method, extract some air and empty the air conditioning tube (syringe tube)
3. Pump in an appropriate amount of water using an air conditioner (syringe) to prevent excessive pressure and glass breakage (excessive air can cause excessive pressure inside the quicksand paint, which can lead to glass breakage, remember!)

This drops sand much faster than I think it should, and I haven't been bale to get it to create patterns. We had one in the 90s and it did a much better job in my opinion.They do supply a syringe - so this isn't suitable as a kit for unattended youngsters - that you can use to siphon air out or in and there's instructions to follow. I tried that but it didn't get the thing working as I'd like.What you want with these sand gadgets is for the sand to drop fairly slowly like an hourglass, and all get deposited, but to build up in noticeable layers. I tried several different amounts of air and didn't see any improvement to speak of but your mileage might vary.
