These tools are typically used for metal, and I have no idea how it would perform on steel or aluminum—it might be fantastic for that.However, for my specific need (cleaning up PLA and PETG prints), it didn't really do the job I wanted it to. The tool itself seems sturdy enough, but it's not the right solution for me
