This clipboard does exactly as it says- it’s usable and the writing surface is useful- the internal storage is a bonus. However the clip is quite clunky and difficult to open so I wasn’t able to use for treasure hunts with my little boy as planned as he wasn’t able to open it.

These are amazing for students who don’t want to carry many things in their bag. I can keep my pens and tabs in their bottom compartment and my papers in the top and just take this. It is sturdy and thick like a book but still plastic so lightweight to carry. I really like these.

The problem I've found with clipboards is they really don't cope well with large amounts of paperwork or material. This one solves that by giving you a proper pen storage compartment and a thick compartment you can store a whole pad or wad of loose papers in. If you were taking surveys or counting voters at a polling station or doing paperwork in a factory this could be really useful. The forms you need to fill in are in the compartment, the one you're working on is on the top, and you can keep the completed ones in the compartment, as well as safely store multiple pens.It's a bit of overkill for many uses but perfect if you are outside or moving around, or doing a professional job. I could see it being useful for older kids on school trips though I don't personally know if they still use clipboards these days and aren't all just using tablets. It would probably have been great for my trips to the zoo as a kid, which often came with bizarre amounts of worksheets because otherwise they didn't think it was educational to see a giraffe or a leopard.
