This version of Magnesium Glycinate from Nutri Lapse is a capsule containing granules of magnesium glycinate and vitamin B6 and which is designed to be a slow release formulation which they claim aids absorption. I am not sure that there is evidence that being slow release will achieve that. Further, even if taken at bedtime the maximum effect will not be achieved when you want it.The dosing quoted on the bottle is 4 capsules taken in the morning which will then give you 2396mg of magnesium glycinate which will yield 340mg elemental magnesium (NB NOT 340mg per capsule). The amount of magnesium glycinate in each capsule is not stated but is obviously lower than many other makes. Most preparations state the amount per capsule which less ambiguous. You also get 4mg vitamin B6 from the full dose of 4 capsules.. On the listing it says the dosing is 2 -4 capsules daily which may be confusing.The capsules are described as 'vegetarian' but nowhere does it say what they are made from or whether they are suitable for vegans. They also contain maltodextrin which, although not a sugar, it will increase your blood sugar level as the body reacts as if it was a sugar.Looking at the picture on the listing I had expected to receive 3 packs but in fact you get just the one bottle giving only one month's supply.If you want magnesium glycinate for nocturnal benefits (cramps, sleep) you are probably better off with the normal formulation as you are paying a hefty premium for something which may not be what you need. These are not good value and the slow release aspect has dubious benefit.

The media could not be loaded. Magnesium Glycinate is an excellent supplement. The serving size is 4 capsules. So, this is a 1 month supply. The capsules are suitable for vegetarians and vegans. These are slow-release capsules for maximum absorption. A few known benefits include better sleep quality and muscle relation. So, it is best taken right before bed.
