I ordered this gel to ease a scar after a hand operation, I found it very liquid not like a gel at all, so I found it unsuitable for the reason I needed it

My partner has recently undergone surgery which has left a large scar on her stomache area. Due to several complications the scar has taken longer than expected to properly heal and therefore it is more prominent than anticipated.My partners GP had prescribed a moisturising cream but this was not actually doing any good and, according to my partner, the scar was very itchy as well as being sore . She had heard about Silicone Gels from a friend of hers so we ordered this to see if it would help. It's reasonably priced and, unlike the moisturising cream it absorbs easily without feeling greasy.It is early days yet but it certainly seems to have eased the itchiness and appears to have soothed the soreness a fair bit too so, based on a couple of weeks usage so far, she has decided that it is far better than the moisturiser creams and is hopeful that in the long term it may reduce the prominence of the scar as well. Here's hoping for her sake.

I have found this scar gel to be really good as I can use it everyday because it is super lightweight and absorbs into the skin well. I like the pump bottle, meaning it stays hygienic (unlike pot containers) and it also allows you to use the correct amount. I can't comment on the effectiveness but it is something I would purchase again.

My mother has some long-standing scars and was very upset about them, so I decided to give her this gel as a gift and she has been using it every day. She noticed that minimised the scar and she is super excited. This gel is easy to use, light, non-sticky, has a good texture, excellent quality and I would recommend it.

I have been using this on an abdominal scar for over 2 months and it has done absolutely nothing to reduce/fade the scarring. It does soothe a slight itch but to be fair, so does a moisturising cream. Save your money and don't bother with this.
