5.0 out of 5 stars Great Little speakers.
Fantastic little speakers, plenty of input options, build quality is decent, but it's the sound quality that really surprised me, really good nice crisp highs very controled with decent separation, the bass is also quite good. Really pleased. For the price very good.

Took it out the box, plugged it in and nothing....dead as a dodo. Tried everything but completely burned out. Clearly just send any useless rubbish out the factory with no testing whatsoever! Complete joke - avoid!
3.0 out of 5 stars tentative 3 stars until I manage to get this working better...
Let me preface this with the fact that I'm a newbie when it comes to speakers. I just wanted to upgrade my computer's sound system with this set. So with that in mind, here were my thoughts on this speaker set:SETUP: The speakers come with quite a few wires, but it's very intuitive what to plug in where. One of the speakers is the "active" speaker that you plug everything into, and the second speaker is the "passive" speaker which connects to the active speaker only. The active speaker has a "power on" button on the back, and another button that has an arrow on it, which allows you to shift between RCA, Bluetooth, USB and Optical channels of connection. When I first switched the speakers on I didn't understand why it didn't play any music - but it was because it wasn't connected to the correct channel. So just rotate through the channels till you hear something if you're not sure which is the correct one for your setup. For my computer setup I used the RCA channel, connecting the RCA audio cable to the headphone jack at the back of the PC.SOUND: The first thing I noticed upon plugging this in was a quiet, subtle background buzzing / crackling / hiss, even without playing anything at all. The background sound seemed to alter depending on where I put the speakers. When very close to the PC it was more of a crackle; further away from the PC it was more of a hiss. My techie brother suggested it was amplifying the sounds picked up from the computer or wires. I'm a complete techie newbie so I don't know. I searched online to try and figure out if there was a way to eliminate this background sound. I read that the most common issue is "ground loop interference". I'm not yet sure how to fix this and will need to read up more for that but apparently this is fix-able.Background sounds aside, the sound quality is decent enough though is not eye-widenly, smile-inducingly amazing. It's certainly an upgrade from any tinny laptop speakers. But it's not as good as my stereo system's speakers. The sound is quite "flat" - it doesn't have a lot of depth to it. When you play an orchestral piece, it all sounds like the sound is coming from the same depth of field more or less.Overall, the sound doesn't sound as punchy and crisp and sharp as my higher-end stereo system speakers which I'm currently using connected to my PC, so for me these speakers would unfortunately be a downgrade. For someone who is moving up from really low-end speakers, these would likely be an upgrade.SIZE: Each speaker measures approx 18cm tall, 12.5cm wide and 11cm deep.ADJUSTABILITY:The speakers come with a remote control that enables you to change the volume, treble levels and bass levels.Straight out of the box, I had some trouble getting the remote to work, but once we managed to open the battery compartment and re-position the included battery, it started working. There is no indicator that the remote is working on the remote itself - no light goes on when you press the buttons. But if you look at the speaker, when you press a button on the remove, the blue light on the speaker blinks when it registers a remote-control button-press.The remote control enables you to move through 8 levels of bass, and 8 levels of treble. It works decently, though the effects can be subtle.ALL IN ALL:It can play music decently; it plays all sounds decently. But it's not at an A+ standard. It's more at a B+ standard in my opinion.
Buena calidad y precio adecuado al producto.

Good compact speaker with good connectivity selection.
PROS: Decent build quality, Includes all the accessories, 3 Inputs, Good sound quality, Minimal design. CONS: Build quality for the price could be better. No Left/Right indicator/marking INTRODUCTION: In this review I am going to test and review their first speaker product (S400). I am only be focusing on the sound and build quality. (Check Nathaniel Huggins for detailed review of the build and inside). Before I begin talking about the sound quality and frequency, I would like you to know everyone has different hearing and taste in sound, so don't take this review too serious. WHAT'S IN THE BOX: You get a 3.5 mm to RCA cable, user manual, optical cable, power supply, and a RCA cable for the other speaker is pretty long. FIRST IMPRESSION: After unboxing the speakers I got immediately hit with confusion. Which one is left or right? The passive speaker is the LEFT speaker and the one with input indicator is the RIGHT speaker. Other than the build quality is ok, it doesn't feel cheap but weighs a bit than I expected. There are really no other indicators except for the lights and the user manual doesn't give a lot of information about the speaker and remote. The remote, yes the remote is simple to use except there's no indicator level for TREB-/TREB+ and BASS-/BASS+. Here's what I learned, treble and bass adjustment only has 4 steps. So thats -4 or 0 or +4. -4 is less, 0 is normal, 4 is emphasized (treble or bass) Other than that good selection of inputs. SOUND QUALITY: I am not expecting a lot since this is AIYIMA's first attempt at building bookshelf speakers. Just note it is impossible or demonstrate how these sound over the internet so take this review with a grain of salt. Most of the testing and listening was done on Bluetooth and RCA input. About the sound. The S400 delivers very good sound quality. I would describe the sound as Neutral Bright. I have played TOTO, Journey, Billy Idol, Fleetwood Mac, and many artists and it sounds good. The bass is good for the size of the 3" speaker drivers. They can get very punchy but the bass rolls off at 65 hz. If you want more subbass I highly recommend getting a subwoofer. Midrange is almost perfect, nice and balance. The treble department is a picky topic. Me I find the treble to almost perfect when listening up close. The vocals are emphasized and the claps and kicks are perfect, they're not piercing my ears. But if you don't like how emphasized the treble frequencies and you like rock, hip-hop, bassy music. CONCLUSION: At the time of writing the review, the S400 were retailing for 85.99 USD. And for the final thoughts I am impressed on how these perform and sound but I am slight disappointed the aesthetic design is lacking. It would be nice if it was covered in some wood vinyl. These speakers are versatile and impressive for the size. I find these to be really good at podcast and non bassy music but I wouldn't use these are reference speaker. UPDATE REVIEW: I took another frequency response of the speaker (Free Field). Thicker Line is common room measurement.
S400... Kaufempfehlung!
Wer Techno-Partys feiern will mit bebenden Fensterscheiben braucht was anderes. Daher: Kaufempfehlung, selber ausprobieren!
