I did a mixture of both for a friend's party and they were the stars of the show.If using wettish ingredients like cream don't fill until nearly ready to serve as it can make the cases soggy.

Much smaller than expected. Quality is not great. Please be aware, they won't let you return this. So money wasted. Straight in bin they will have to go. I'm fuming.

I spent hours in the kitchen, catering for an afternoon tea. Bought these to save myself time. I turned half into mini lemon tartlets and half into strawberry tarts. 90 mins later they were all a soggy mess! They ruined my tea party and I was left embarrassed at what I had created. Total disappointment. Total waste of money il never ever buy again!!

I’d tried the savoury version of these shells before (pesto first) and been very pleased with them. I was expecting these sweet ones to be particularly good, but in practice the savoury ones work better.There’s not a lot of sweetness in the buttery texture of these cups, so they aren’t all that different to the savoury ones- except that they’re missing that pesto flavour, so they end up seeming more plain. When paired with a yoghurt or a bit of fruit, dried or otherwise, the sweetness of pretty much any other ingredient makes the cup seem flavourless by comparison, so they become just a vessel for whatever’s in them, rather than part of the flavour themselves. Looks-wise, they also look more plain and boring then the pesto ones.The texture is still good though. They retain their shape well. They can handle a bit of moisture without crumbling, and they have a nice crunch to them. They have a texture like my idea of an absolutely perfect quiche crust, though that’s subjective of course.For convenience, they’re very handy indeed, a very easy shortcut for making wedding-buffet-style mini snacks in a matter of moments with minimal effort.At the asking price of ten quid for a pack of twenty-four though, that’s wedding-buffet level pricing as well, and for home or personal use, it would be far more economical- by a long shot- to bake something yourself if you can. These cups are good, but you’re really paying for convenience rather than the quantity or the ingredients.For a special occasion though, price aside, these are a really good option when prepping a finger buffet. But I’d still recommend the savoury ones over the sweet ones.

I was worried they might not arrive in one piece. But they did! And so did the second lot I ordered!Filled with a decadent chocolate ganache. Scrumptious.

The media could not be loaded. You can use these in two ways, make your own cream patisserie/chocolate mouse and fill with fruits to garnish or get shop bought mousse and flavoured custard and fill with fruit. It really depends on how much time you have on your hands and if you want to spend ages cooking. If you are a good cook, you do the first option, if you aren't you do the second one and no one will care, it's nice to be invited over and for someone else to do the prep.The decision is yours. I might take these away on an up and coming cottage holiday and do the quick version to have with coffee or tea in the evening. No stress PUD!Others commented on the taste, I came up with some ways to use them, for cooks and non-cooks.The company also does a range of colours, which would be really great for Halloween, Christmas etc or if you were having a colour theme for a Wedding and were catering some of the food yourself.
