I am extremely impressed with the quality of this door threshold ramp for wheelchairs.I ordered this product in the hope it would help my dad to take care of my disabled mum, my dad is the sole carer for my mum and won't accept any help whatsoever but at 75 years old himself I know he struggles at times with pushing her wheelchair around their bungalow and especially over the threshold of the kitchen door where the vinyl flooring meets the hallway carpet. My brother and myself fitted this for my parents and it was so simple to do, we just measured the kitchen threshold and then found the appropriate cutting point, which was embossed into the ramp, and with a newly fitted blade in my brothers Stanley knife he just kept running the blade along the groove of the cutting point until he'd cut right through it, it took about 3 minutes tops before it was fitted and ready for use. My dad tested it by pushing my mum seamlessly over the ramp with no struggle or bumps at all and the ramp stayed securely in place too.My parents are thrilled with this and it truly will make life so much easier for my dad. The ramp is strong, solid and made from heavy weighted, non slip rubber, to give you an idea of the quality, before we cut it the ramp weighed 5lb7oz or 2.5KG.Another bonus is, as the ramp doesn't require permanently fixing down at all it is also very portable. you can just lift it up and take it with you where ever you might need to use it.I am very happy to recommend this product which I am certain will be very durable and will certainly last for more than a persons lifetime.For your confidence in this Vine Voice review, I am under no obligation as to what I can or cannot write and I only ever leave honest and unbiased reviews whether they be good or bad.Thank you for reading this review and I hope you find it helpful.

I was a bit concerned when this arrived because it was coiled in a roll. I had visions of it taking weeks to flatten out and be a nightmare with curling up. I was worried for nothing. It took just a couple of hours laid flat on the patio for it to straighten out fully and i've had no curling issues.I used a very fine toothed hacksaw because the width i wanted wasn't on the pre-cut lines. Slow and steady was the name of the game. I then used some fine sandpaper to take out any rough spots.In terms of quality it's very good. The ramp is wide giving a gentle slope either side and while the gap it covers is shallow, it has made a difference. I didn't detect any strong odours when it first arrived, but my sense of smell is all over so take that with a grain of salt. Certainly now several days later it's got zero that i or my family can detect.Overall really handy and it should last many years to come!

Good heavy duty rubber with some weight to it.This stuff really does make a difference... not only for the ease of anyone pushing a chair (or indeed chair-users themselves), but also for taking out that jarring that can easily be felt by someone who is already in pain, or simply feeling ill.That generous 10"-plus depth offers a very smooth transition over the threshold, so much so that it's barely noticeable.It is advertised as 'portable', but ours will be left permanently in situe (bathroom door) where it's appreciated the most.I don't think you could get anything better than this frankly, and it's certainly made to last a lifetime.Good stuff, and on a quality/value-for-money basis... 5-Stars.

This threshold mat is extremely thick…perfect to protect the door bars inbetween each room…I have got this as my elderly mother uses a Sara steady and gets taken from bedroom to lounge on this…and I’ve noticed the door bar from bedroom to hallway is slightly lifted…and I’m sure in time this is going to break ….which I don’t want this to happen….This mat will certainly protect the bar….Needs cutting to size as defo far to long…..and with the bit left over I could use for the bathroom doorway…Very strong rubber….well made…thick….

La rampa è appena arrivata e sono davvero soddisfatto del materiale, che sembra molto resistente. Non vedo l'ora di usarla in modo continuativo, ma dai primi test che ho fatto funziona alla grande! Perfetta per superare piccoli ostacoli come soglie o cavi, facile da tagliare per adattarla a diverse larghezze e super comoda da trasportare. Consigliata a chi usa sedie a rotelle o deambulatori, davvero un ottimo acquisto!
