The media could not be loaded. I ordered this bowl to use for water for my dogs. The bowl itself is shiny stainless steel, a good size, and with a hollow back -so it’s light to carry around when filling and washing. But what makes this bowl really functional is the rim of rubber around the lower edge, which means I can put it on my Lino kitchen floor and our doggies won’t end up chasing it around the kitchen- it literally stays put where you’ve put it down. All in all, a great bowl -it would be perfect for food or water.

I have had cats for over 40 years(!) and also fostered for a cat rescue charity, so have experienced cat bowls of all shapes and sizes. This is the most basic design, which works well in terms of being durable and whisker-friendly. The listing makes much of it being easy to clean, but the downside I find with this type of stainless steel bowl is that the rubber ring on the bottom can't go in the dishwasher, so you either have to hand wash the bowl or fiddle around taking the ring off and then putting it on again.However, this is a good quality pet feeding bowl - the shiniest I have ever seen - though I'm surprised that it's being marketed for cats and small dogs as it's huge. It's also the deepest bowl of this design that I have ever had - which works well for my greedy cat as he gobbles his food and normally pushes lots over the side of the bowl. I would like to see a smaller size for cats though - while keeping the good depth for less messy feeding times!

I actually got this for my rabbits to use as a water bowl, and it has been a brilliant choice. The size is just right, holding plenty of water without taking up too much space in their enclosure. The stainless steel is easy to clean and doesn’t hold onto any smells, which is a big plus. The rubber base does a good job of stopping it from sliding around, even when my rabbits nudge it while drinking.It is also a nice weight, not too heavy but sturdy enough that it does not tip over easily. The removable rubber ring is handy for washing up, and so far, there has been no sign of rust or wear. It is a simple but well made bowl that does exactly what I need it to. If you are after a reliable water or food bowl for small pets, this one is definitely worth getting.5 out of 5.

This review for a 22cm stainless steel pet bowl, priced £7 at time of review.This bowl has a removable non-slip grip around the bottom, but I find that if the dish is pushed forcefully enough this grip lifts away, defeating the point. It is just too loose.Although the listing says it is suitable for cats, this bowl tapers out at the bottom your pet cannot get very close and at 5.2cm deep (compared to 4cm for most cat bowls) it is a stretch for my cat to reach the bottom. Personally I feel its size and shape make it much better suited to a small-medium dog.

This is a fairly large bowl, much bigger than my cat is used to. As a result, it looks very empty with just a pouch of food, leading my cat to believe that I don't love him anymore, and have clearly put him on a diet.It has good non-stuck rubber on the bottom and is easy to clean, being dishwasher-proof as well.This would probably suit a medium-sized dog more than a cat, unless your cat is a Black Panther. Mine thinks he's a Black Panther, but he's wrong. Although if he keeps on eating like he does, he may still turn into one!

When this bowl arrived I was surprised by the size - it's much bigger than the bowls I'd usually use for my cats, better suited for a small-medium dog.The bowl is quite lightweight and shallow - the non-slip rubber around the base is very basic - doesn't work very well and pulls-off and on quite easily.Currently retailing at £7.50 it's usable and a decent size but not really suitable for small cats.

Larger in size than I had expected, tissue box in photo to give visual idea of size. Big bowl for the cat or smaller bowl for the dog, would easily work for our dog which makes it a better buy as if the cat doesn’t approve the dog will. Has a rubber non slip base which can be removed for cleaning. Non slip base is perfectly functional. Deep enough for food and water- not too deep or too shallow which is hard to get right sometimes. Respectable price for such a good size bowl. Easy clean, bowl has been in dishwasher well - without non slip band but easily washed in sink with band on
