I returned this because it didn’t have replacement media and there was no way to get hold of any in the future.I emailed the seller though, and they said they would be trying to stock them for the future - which I think would be a very smart move!I can’t actually comment on the function of the item as I didn’t try it, but the seller seemed good and cooperative, I would buy from them again in the future!

The media could not be loaded. Well designed and made H.O.B (Hang on back) filter with filter media provided.Best with frameless tanks, or one's below 0.8 inches so the appliance fits.Quick easy set up with lovely waterfall effect and an adjustable intake with filter to prevent fry or larger particles entering. There's also an adjustable flow regulator atop.It has a handy filter change or clean, light as a reminder, which is a new feature and good for the kids.You can swap out these filters as to something more preferable if you like too.These filters are a quick and easy way to keep your tank in tip top condition, plus extremely easy to service without too much mess, plus they also look and sound good.You could even plant a small aquatic plant on top if you fancied.Great product from hygger and recommended.
1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't Work Poor QA Program by Manufacture, Vendor Should Test These Products Before Dispatch!
I only gave it a one star because there wasn't one lower. Very poor QA. The store selling this should test each one properly before sending it out the door. I saw one person say his didn't work out of the box and he needed to return it. The same happened to me. I followed the instructions explicitly by watching the video made sure I primed it by filling it with water and lo and behold the pump refused to operate at all. It's now boxed up waiting to be collected.The manufacture obviously has a crap QA program so its up to the seller to intervene and test each one themselves before shipping it out to inspecting customers. All they need to do is is test each one it takes about 3 minutes to set it up and test it and then put a sticker on it after drying it off. I personally wouldn't complain if I found a few droplets of water on the machine and saw a sticker saying tested by the vendor. The vendor could keep a set of filters to use for the testing so they didn't use the filter set that comes with the device. I really believe that in the last three decades quality has gone out the window if vendors want to change this they will need to step and do the job themselves.And before a vendor says I don't have the time they should make time for any product that is over £30 in value. Your reputation as a vendor is the biggest selling point you have and if it damaged by returns and bad reviews your business will suffer as a result.

For a small aquarium up to 40 USG but is a great little filter with all the filtration required.I particularly like the warning LED to warn of blockages to prevent it overflowing.

Very disappointed.Good filter and dead easy to clean but the cartridges aren't available on Bolo or any other place other than possibly Ebay but I don't buy on there.Best spending less than a tenner more for the bigger one with removable media for cleaning and better all round....still Hygger
