I got these for my son, because I remember loving things like this as a kid. I haven't been able to let him play with them yet unfortunately, because they are quite small and he's in a phase of putting everything in his mouth. Also, the magnets are exposed and it would be a serious issue for him to swallow a loose one. I look forward to him enjoying playing with them though.You get a good selection of letters and numbers. You get two whole lower case alphabets, which is necessary for words that use the same letter more than once. The build quality is okay, but the magnets are unfortunately quite weak.This set of 106 magnets is selling for £12.99 at the time of this review. I think that would be an okay price of the magnets were stronger.

My grandson is starting in Reception shortly, so this set is useful both to prepare him for literacy and numeracy and to continue practising at home (2 sets bought, so his parents and us grandparents can each have one). Attractive, bright colours make learning fun. Easy to manipulate with little fingers. Excellent to have so many lower case letters (52) allowing for flexibility when spelling.

I am reviewing a 106 piece set of magnetic numbers and letters, priced £11.99 at time of ordering.Although not mentioned in the online listing, the box states these are suitable for children 3 years and over, and there is a safety leaflet inside which reiterates how dangerous magnets can be if swallowed.I received the same letters, numbers and symbols as outlined in the listing, My two random letters were “k” and “r”, but it would be much better if additional vowels were supplied instead. The two lowercase “q” letters are interchangeable with “b” whereas I would have liked to see the flicked tail on the q to encourage children to write it the way they will be taught in school. Lowercase “p” and “d” are also interchangeable, as are uppercase “I” and lowercase “l”. In my set, uppercase “M” and “W” are also interchangeable, whereas the image online shows M with straighter sides. These things can be a little confusing for children, but a lot of sets do produce them this way.I have docked one star as the magnets on the back are quite small so not very strong and they can slip a little. I found that if left on a fridge door they are prone to fall off if it is opened, so they are better used on the side or on another static steel surface.

This set could be so much better. The letters and numbers come boxed with a drawstring bag for storage inside.I received 29 upper case letters, (seller says there should be 26) I got one for each letter of the alphabet and two each of J, M and W.I received 51 lower case letters (seller says there should be 52) BUT there are no lower case W, there are 3 X, I am not mistaking the multiplication symbol as an extra X.I received 5 symbols, seller says there should be 8.I received 21 numbers, seller says there should be 20, I received an additional zero.The magnets aren't particularly strong but probably strong enough for little hands to be able to pull them off whatever surface you provide.I don't think the quality is brilliant and I think £11.99 is expensive for this particular set. They would be fine as an additional set, just to get some more pieces, but they would not be my first choice.

Prese per la lavagnetta della mia bimba, ci sono maiuscole, minuscole e numeri in uba sacca rossa che li contiene tutti. La calamita non è saldissima ma attacca quel tanto che serve. Ottime per imparare a familiarizzare con le lettere, in età di pregrafismo e appena si comincia la scuola, ma è comunque un gioco evergreen
