At the same time - bought the matching CXN100 as well. The amp is rated at 80-watts per channel, but it seriously muscular for that 80-watts. You can tell it has lots of power in reserve for massive shifts / transients in music. Both the CXA81 MkII and the CXN100 compliment each other beautifully as well. I'm planning on upgrading my speakers soon, but using the system with a pair of Monitor Audio Bronze 5G's from circa 2016. In a word - stunning. These speakers truly sing on this setup - my previous Yamaha amp and streamer didn't have anything on this new Cambridge Audio set up. Highly recommended.

Seems well made. Straightforward amp has good sound, connectivity. One negative is the remote is for all the Cambridge gear, so if you don't own the set or mix with other brands you may only use a few buttons from the whole large remote.. not a deal-breaker. Otherwise have had good experience so far, and really like the sound of it (for me mainly paired with an Eversolo A8 and Wharfedale speakers).Would be nice to have option bypass the pre amp.

Awesome amp, lots of connections, awesome sound. Unfortunately Bolo reduced the price by £100 just after I'd bought it, so it's now a real bargain!

Associé à mes old Jamo Classic 8, je redécouvre tous mes morceaux préférés, de nouveaux instruments apparaissent, le tout dans un ensemble très équilibré. Pas besoin d'équaliseur ni de réglage de graves/aigus. Quel plaisir d'entendre la voir de Grand Corps malade, ou du piano ou le bruit des touches ou les grincements du siège du pianiste participent à l'émotion. Mon fils a passé son WE a écouter de la musique dessus.... A haut volume l'écoute ne devient jamais brouillonne.Je passe par un lecteur WIIM Ultra. Honnêtement je ne vois pas la différence entre la liaison optique ou la liaison analogique. De plus l'entrée trigger permet de l'allumer/éteindre en même temps que le WIIM.Que du plaisir !
