I've never actually used Einkorn before so I was looking forward to trying this given its reputation as an ancient grain though as I wanted it for bread even though I knew I'd have to use basic flour alongside it, resulted in something with a pretty interesting taste that this had imparted onto it (this flour tastes somewhat nutty). Thankfully I had learnt of how its a little harder to use before using it, apparently due to it having less gluten than wheat based flour, so avoided wasting it but its something to keep in mind.As for pricing I imagine its being sold a lot higher than more basic wholesale einkorn flour as a side effect of how it is sourced but the 500g bag is not even remotely worth getting even in the context of this by itself considering its price per kg is notably worse than the 1kg option. There are probably people a little bothered by how the flour is packaged considering you tend to get it in paper bags but I didn't really care.I think it could still be recommendable as a one off purchase to do some safe experimenting with einkorn to see if its something you want to use in the future but if you want to buy it more often it might be better to look elsewhere.

My scones need a little more fluid and raising agent when using this flour, so I tend to mix with a gluten free self raising flour and the resulting scones are very tasty with a nutty edge.
