we have not used it yet, it is in my go bag, for disasters. it is not that light in weight. But it looks ok.

I spend a lot of time outdoors and have used various kinds of camping meals so my expectations from them are modest.At the top of the advert are seven photos which you can mouse over to see a bigger version, the lowest one has a image next to a rucksack of a packet that says in big red letters " SELF HEATING"This is NOT a self heating packet, you need to add hot water as it is freeze dried.Mine has the same use by date as the image April 2027. The packet is tough enough to survive living in my rucksack or boot of the car where I always keep am overnight survival bag in case I get stuck in the hills.Instructions are simple and easy to carry out in practice. In comparison to my expectations for camping food, this was average, it would fill me up. The texture was as expected, you have to pick each piece out carefully to get individual tastes/textures. I liked the taste it was satay but not overly salty. Slowly chewing a mouthful was OKOne big question about these is value. If the value is right for you I would get some in a variety of tastes especially if you are with a group.They are pretty much the same as the other main brands.
