Excellent open world exploration with absolutely gorgeous Japanese scenery with alot of tasks and side quests to enjoy along with actitivies.The protagonists are both very varried each with their own vastly unique combat techniques and weapons.Naoe being more Shinobi while Yasuke is more samurai orientated in combat and techniques. It's clear that there has been alot of research and work put in by ubisoft and they have alot of history explanations in the codex which is cool as it will detail places, history of culture and other history while also showing pictures actually taken from Japan culture and history. The Combat is very fun and cleverly executed for both playable characters. Naoe is very acrobatic and can jump and somersault while climbing down roofs which Is nice and she also has a grappling hook which is very useful to get to the top of buildings while remaining unsean quickly. Yasuke however is a powerhouse and can run into doors to break them with force. His sword combat is very different to how Naoe wields her sword which is also a show of attention to detail as they both have vastly different talents. The Combat is fun and effective with both characters and I had fun playing as both of them and it also sets the game appart as you can switch when you want a different outcome. Naoe is better at stealth abilities while Yasuke is Very good at going in all guns blazing. The scenery is very well crafted with accurate representations to Japan culture and architecture which is very impressive. I am very impressed with Shadows so far and been thouroughly enjoying it. I would recommend this game if your a fan of the samurai and ninja days of fuedal Japan while also being intrigued about the history of how the first black samurai became a samurai under oda nobinaga. It's all very much true historically aswell if you go on history pages as much as people claimed that it wasn't true and slated the game before release. Turned out to be one of the best games in the series.

I do not know what is going to be the next most requested time. Period for assassin‘s creed to be in, but this one was absolutely done to perfect. Ubisoft just needs to repeat this formula with all of their other game franchises. The environment is breathtaking, the story is gripping and emotional. With all the content that is available for everybody and everything that is to come for this game, I think it will be up there in some of the best assassin‘s Creed retrospective one day.

Currently playing, amazing graphics, excellent storyline so far, great characters and really enjoying it! It's a 2 disc installation, takes a LONG time to install so be warned, plus, you need an active Internet connection to install but not to play .. even with a 1gb Internet it took over an hour to install so be prepared. But its worth the wait

ASSASSINS CREED SHADOWS XBOX SERIES XShadows is absolutely amazing from beginning to end, best assassins creed creed game ever made for me by a mile, I personally love the Japanese theme, so much amazing detail has gone into every part of the design from the levels and the stunning weather effects, especially snow, the characters and the outfits and armour and swords and weapons, so much choice and design and even customisation. If you love a big game there's plenty to do with main story and lots of side quests and things to find as usual, the photo mode is amazing too with hours of fun there to distract you from the game. I've had no problems with how the game runs, its fast pace and smooth action always, the game is insanely violent and bloody and some of the finishers with all weapons are brutal at times. Amazing game and a must own.

The game arrived on release day as expected. No issues here. The game has the standard AC mechanics and runs smooths. Graphics are good although I did catch one bamboo tree I chopped down dissappear before it hit the ground as I was walking off and looking back.Biggest problem is that time goes by too quick whilst youre playing the game.

The series is back on form with this instalment of assassins creed, if like me you loved Origins and Odyssey but Valhalla wasn’t for you then your in luck as shadows is a winner.Good points a likeable and enjoyable protagonists and Japan as the setting finally, great main and side quests.Bad points, due to the faithful geography the world can feel restrictive at times when travelling about because you can no longer travel in a straight line to your objective and instead have to follow the roads when you try and straight line it you run into obstacles in the terrain, while this is accurate to Japan it can be immersive breaking at times. Also the loss of the ability to cycle between day and night is noticeable otherwise a great game highly recommended

It was either Shadows or Mirage that were destined to be my favourite of all the series. I didn't think Mirage could be topped.......it can, Shadows is flawless. Gameplay is incredible,its a game of true visual beauty backed up with a phenomenal story. Assassinations are stunning. I am overwhelmed by the size and scale of the game - the possibilities are endless. STUNNER - buy and lose every millisecond of spare time you have

Ignore the "jumping on the bandwagon" outrage online about this game, and judge the game on it's own merits. Many hours into this game now and it is still fun. There is a nice compliment between the stealth gameplay of Naoe and the out loud action combat of Yasuke, and both are great fun if you play to each character's strengths.Stealth has been improved over past games, with the addition of prone and increased importance of light/shadow and noise (there are trap floors in castles which make noise when walked on for example).Not all objectives are marked exactly on the map, you are given hints of where to look which helps in giving you a reason to explore the world which looks stunning, and changes based on season. If you are not a fan of this, there are options available to turn this off so you can just follow map markers if you wish.
