It feels classy, yet practical.Typing experience: easily among the best I’ve used on a 2-in-1. Keys are well spaced, with just the right amount of travel — very MacBook-like in feel, but a bit softer on impact. I was able to type at full speed with minimal adjustment time. There’s no flex in the keyboard deck, which is rare for a cover-style keyboard.Trackpad: unexpectedly good. Smooth, accurate, and supports full Windows gestures. Slightly smaller than a traditional laptop, but never feels cramped. The click is tactile but quiet — no hollow "clack" sound.Some details I didn’t find before buying:The keyboard automatically disables when folded back behind the screen (no accidental keypresses in tablet mode).It draws almost no power from the Surface — battery drain is negligible. Excellent as it's the official one. I used a cheap one that made my laptop ran super slow and also needed to keep charging. This one just connected at once and no need to charge. I enjoyed typing the keyboard, just well made and nice!!

Snaps in place and works straight away. I have a Kensington blackbelt rugged case on the surface and it fits with that perfectly. Have used this type of keyboard for years with my work surface, so hope it lasts as long.This keyboard has no space for the pen - I knew this when I purchased it.Guess it is expensive for what it is - hence the reduction of one star.

It’s perfect and easy to install. It’s working very well with my Microsoft surface pro 9. I had a cheaper keyboard but it stopped working after 1 year. I hope this one will stay longer. I also tried other bluetooth keyboards but they didn’t work.

Love the detachable keyboard, for something so thin, it still feels very high quality and very nice to type on, the touchpad is one of the smoothest I've ever used. You can keep this attached to the Surface and close it like a normal laptop which will put the Surface to sleep, very convenient for power saving.Convenient shortcut keys (volume, brightness, key backlighting), 4 brightness options for the backlit keys (including off), microphone mute is great when you don't want to have to find the mute button on whatever video call you're on and finally the new co-pilot key is great on the keyboard, one press and you have AI at your fingertips.

Everytime I woke up the Surface Pro I had to detatch the keyboard and reattach before the device would recognise it. I don't know if it's a problem with the Pro 11 or the keyboard
