(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Chip setup came next day plus tools and firmware came preloaded as per listing they even included the usb interface too.Fitted to night and I did mine a little different to how its normally done I'm to shakey to solder the ribbon directly to the caps and don't want to risk taking sp1 and sp2 caps off the cpu or bridging them so soldered tiny wires to each side of sp1 and sp2 then brought them over the top of the ribbon, I used kepton tape on the CPU and again on top of the ribbon so it wouldn't ground out and worked a treat, it's a better way for those who are not keen on soldering the ribbon directly to the caps and if the ribbon were to fail at any stage down the line it's a lot easier to replace it by unsoldering the wires, happy with the results, this was done on the very lastest Switch V2 XKJ unit.Update:Modchip has been installed for a few months now and all is good, works really well the things you can do with a modded switch is unreal, I've just recently bought 2 more chips and fitted them into my daughter & wife's switchs, they see me running cheats, game saves on my games and sitting there with the look of jealousy lol all now customised and we now have 3 modded switches, now all 3 of us can play mario kart 8 with speed boosters and custom items and tracks.

Installed in my hac001 (01) switch. Tools were adequate.Deffinitley a magnified solder job worked first time. Take your time, this is well within the scope of diy as long as you have experience in solder work. Make sure you have Good solder, a good iron, kapton tape. Don’t skimp on the solder do yourself a solid and look up a good solder. Flux I used no clean flux in a syringe, ipa and cotton buds. Make sure you have some decent thermal compound for reassembly. Watch a few videos and use google. Be sure you are getting the correct one for your switch.

5 star chip, works a charm. Minus 1 star for the crappy screwdriver which doesn't fit well and rips through your screws like they're butter.

Finally got it to work! Needed to buy a digital magnifying device and use a bigger tip on the soldering iron, but followed a video online and all works great! So chuffed with myself

The modchip worked perfectly without any issues and I didn't have to flash the firmware which was nice.The Phillips screwdriver worked perfectly, and the tweezers were great.The tri-wing screw driver however sucks and will wear down the screws. I wouldn't recommend using the one bundled in this kit, I got another one separately from Bolo that worked a lot better even on the already worndown screws from the included screwdriver.The plastic thing looks useful but the plastic flakes off very easily, would be better to have one with metal tip maybe, either way it does the job.Overall I'm happy with the kit, just wish they wouldn't bundle a triwing screwdriver if it was gonna be that bad.

First things first. Don't provide a bloody tri tip screwdriver if its going to be a piece of s*** and worse than not working but damage the screw head itself. waste of everyones time.Other than that the chip works as intended once I could disasemble the switch.

Nicht für jeden zu empehlen, nur wer Ahnung hat.
Hat alles geklappt mit der Mod aber nicht zu emphelen für jemanden der sich nicht mit Löten auskennt. Es ist alles sehr klein und nicht einfach ein zu bauen.
