5.0 out of 5 stars A Powerful ESP32 S2 that works with the Arduino IDE
It did not work out of the box for me, unlike the various Arduinos I am more familiar with, but I did get it to work after a little bit of effort. This ESP32 has 2 USB C ports - one labelled USB and the other labelled COM. Initially I connected it to my Win10 PC via the USB port and it connected as a COM7, drivers installed and all looked good, but the Arduino IDE could not connect and upload any sketches. I could see that the default something was running (serial LED blinking) but just pressing or holding the boot button no effect. After some research, I tried pressing and holding Boot, pressing Rst, then released both. Win10 beeped a bit and COM7 vanished. Then a COM8 appeared, and when I told the Arduino IDE to upload to that it actually worked. Or to be specific the upload worked as I could see that my sketch was running as the serial LED was blinking as expected, but I saw nothing on my terminal program. Eventually I tried connecting to the other USB-C port on the ESP32, labelled COM, and I WIN10 found a COM9 and I also the expected serial output in my terminal program too.So, it was a bit all over the place, but it does work and I am pleased with it... very pleased with it!
5.0 out of 5 stars All good
Really happy with these, I got them after a normal esp32 I had running a 2004 lcd screen with scrolling and changing text, 8 push buttons and a string of 10 ws2812 LEDs used as individual indicator lights was struggling a bit. It would basically miss button presses enough to be annoying and need rebooting every couple of days. I saw these have a little more processing power so gave them a try. They do indeed seem to do the job better, on the project mentioned above I even switched out a button for a rotary encoder and all works well. All 3 have worked fine and flashed using esphome without hassle. They have a good solid connection to my wifi and function entirely as expected.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for Bluetooth Projects
The diymore ESP32 S3 DevKitC is perfect for Bluetooth projects. It offers great performance with WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. The board is easy to work with and has plenty of resources for development. Ideal for anyone wanting to explore Bluetooth functionality!
1.0 out of 5 stars Wifi intermittent if more than a couple of feet from the AP / Router
As others have stated the WIFI sucks on this board you have to be sat next to the router for it to work. errors regarding Auth and [wifi:663]: WiFi network can not be found anymore, even if you get ][I][wifi:541]: - '#######' [redacted]▂▄▆█ max signal, it will disconnect.
3.0 out of 5 stars First module - No signs of intelligent life. Second module worked fine.
Unfortunately, I could get no software to run on the first board tried. Port not recognised in either USB connector. No power LED lit. No information on the internet. Device not supported on IDE2.However, the second board powered up and ran without problems. So possible faulty unit? Would have got 5 stars if both worked!Need to install the esp32 by Espressif library and select the YelloByte YB-ESP32-S3-AMP (Rev2) Board. Set the Tools>Flash Size to 16MBytes. In order to use the RGB LED, the RGB link needs to be added to the PCB and the RGB_BUILTIN needs to be set to 48.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, perfect for arduino project.
Simply perfect, programmed it around 200 times, used all functionality including i2c Spi and eeprom - all great and work as expected and gpio pins work as expected. Thanks 👍
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for connecting components for iot projects
This development board kit comes with a esp32 dev module great for prototyping small projects; it can easily be set up for wifi connectivity for iot projects. The expansion board is very helpful for creating connections to different modules and wiring in different component making it easy to change or remove component very easily, there are also marking making of what each pin is making it easy to see, suing this expansion board is a lot easier then using a expansion board, I can definitely recommend this development board for small projects.
1.0 out of 5 stars Wifi is broken - known issue
Managed to run Blink via Arduino IDE. All good. But I could not get wifi to work at all. After wasting an afternoon trying to fix it I accidentally put my finger on the wifi shielding at it worked! Finger off, nothing. I did some googling and it is a known issue with some of these ESP32 S3 WROOM1 boards. You might get lucky if you reduce the TX power esp_wifi_set_max_tx_power() to 40. but I'll be binning it and finding a more reliable board.
La gama top de los microcontroladores.
The media could not be loaded.
Happy
Solid and fast supply. Well done. I can recommend this supplier.
