Still love it one year later

We've had our mattress for one year now. I can honestly say it's the best mattress I've ever owned, and I have a couple that have cost thousands. It's a medium firm mattress that contours your body and my girlfriend still calls it comfy and cozy. You can't feel motion when someone's getting in or out of bed.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Two different opinions

We’ve been sleeping on a 12” for 8 months now. We had no troubles with smell after airiing it out for 4-5 days, fiberglass, size, or foam expansion as others have noted. These are the pros. The cons in my/our opinion is that it is quite firm for a medium. I wake up with sore hip joints, lower back area and sometimes shoulders, my husband not so much. He does agree that it is hard but it doesn’t bother him. I also have a hernia and it puts a significant amount of pressure on it. The mattress does conform to your shape but it feels like you’re sleeping on a board with a few inches of foam thrown on top of it. The bottom layer of foam in this thing must be super firm. It seems the top squashy layer could be a little thicker. The other downside is it is hot. I am a hot sleeper so I am constantly flinging the blanket off and on all night. I know it is the mattress because I feel like I’m sleeping on a heating pad and can feel the heat coming off the mattress. It doesn’t bother my husband. I don’t think there is one cooling thing about this mattress. I have been looking at toppers that are cooling but then I don’t know how in the world the fitted sheet would ever stay on the bed. These two issues cause me to roll a lot at night, but not the husband. So, that being said, we would probably buy another one but it would have to be not as firm and with a cooling topper. I am not bashing the product. It is well made. As you can see you have two different sleep experiences here. If you like a bit of squash to your mattress and are a hot sleeper then I would buy something different. If these things don’t bother you then this is a great purchase.

Why??? Why did I wait sooooo long to treat myself to this wonderful mattress??? I have literally been laying on hell for over twenty years or more with a coil spring mattress and bulky boxspring, when I could've had this for under three hundred dollars!!! It is awesome!!!! Makes no noise, had no weird smells, it's firm but not too firm, I stay cool. Don't wake up sweaty or clammy, it is true to size and thickness is fabulous!!! I have told anyone who will listen, throw your old traditional coil spring mattresses out and get one of these...I am beyond pleased with my purchase.

Great price for a medium firm mattress, and NO smell!

Based on the reviews, we thought we would try this mattress when it went on sale. I found our previous Sealy mattress to be too firm, especially when sleeping on my side.Delivery:The 12" medium-firmness mattress arrived quickly, deposited outside our garage door in a slightly beat-up cardboard box. My husband used a furniture dolly to get the boxed mattress into the house, and we let it warm up overnight. The dolly made it relatively easy to get the 78-pound box around the house.Unpacking:Others have warned that the sealed mattress should be in place before opening, and we placed it on our bed the next morning. After carefully opening the plastic outer seal, it slowly began expanding and unrolling, but not explosively. Unfortunately, the mattress was packaged and rolled so that it was upside down when it opened, so the first order of business was to flip it over (I suggest that manufacturer reorient the way they roll the mattress). We then slipped the inner plastic wrapping off.Smell (or NO smell!):My husband has a very sensitive sense of smell, and he noticed nothing! So, the manufacturer must have made some changes to the product to address the smell that others have noticed.Expanding and firmness:We left the bare mattress on the bed all day, so it could expand and air out, and we only put the cover and sheets on at bedtime. It had not fully expanded but it seemed to be on the second day. Both of us found it to be firm but accommodating, and it slowly molded to our bodies. My husband finds it perhaps too firm, so we'll see if it changes with time. We found the edges to be quite firm and noticed no problem sitting on the edge. Although the mattress is advertised as "cooling", neither one of us could discern any difference from our previous pillow-top mattress. There seems to be no motion transfer at all.Size:As others have noted, the mattress is larger than a conventional king mattress, and it hangs over on the end and a bit on the sides. Our mattress cover and fitted sheets do not quite fit because of this. I gave the mattress 4* because of the size (how difficult is it to make it a standard size?). It remains to be seen how it will last, but, for the sale price on Presidents' Day, it seems like a good buy.
