I had tried to switch to LED bulbs in an existing light fitting, but failed miserably. The first set of bulbs flickered, and the second set, whilst flicker free, cause the transformer in the light fitting to buzz a little.This is a similar issue to changing out dimmable 240v G9 bulbs, where the old dimmer switch buzzes. You can replace the switch to fix that, but I cannot change the transformer in the G4 lighting unit to resolve, so my only option was to switch back to standard bulbs.These were easy to fit, but don’t forget - do not touch the bulb with bare fingers, otherwise the grease in you skin causes the bulb to fail - I use kitchen roll, which has not let me down yet.Bulbs are bright, and silence from the buzzing has been restored.I suspect it is something to do with load, moving from a total 100w load to 30w with LED.Very pleased.

G4 bulbs are typically used for kitchen lighting including appliances such as hob extractors. I got them to replace two of the bulbs that were burned out a while ago. Replacing them was easy and they are all working happily now.This is lots of bulbs for a reasonable price giving you a stock that is likely to last many years to come.Although I pretty much replaced every single lightbulb in the house with LED bulbs, I stick with halogens when it comes to the lights for the extractor. Halogen provides a continuous spectrum of light which ensures you see the true colours of the food you are cooking.Recommended.

Ordered through vine to try out in our kitchen flyover downlights.The bulbs work perfectly well as direct replacements for our branded G4 bulbs (currently knightsbridge brand) with exactly the same dimensions, light colour and brightness.Having bought various brands at various prices ranging from 90p each to £2 each these bulbs offer great value at £3.99 for twelve.As for their life expectancy? Well we'll just have to wait and see, but so far based on value, size and lighting performance, they're getting give stars from me.

I got these to replace the existing non-dimmable halogen G4 bulbs in our Dining room light fitting. They were packed in a small plastic case with bubble wrap around them. When installed in our ceiling light, they worked perfectly giving a warm white as our previous ones did but now I can add a dimmer switch to provide more lighting options. Although not yet fitted, I am certain that the bulbs should perform as advertised and that they are good value for money.
