This is according to my mother in law (who is his carer). They were previously using a bowl but he kept "missing" and she would get wet sleeve. It is light and has a handle - people have complained about the lid not being secure, but it is very handy if you have arthritic hands and - as long as it isn't full - it won't be if you tip out after every use - it works. Just a very handy aid for at home.

Excellent, bought for my Dad who has dementia. It has made a huge difference during the night as he is no longer able to safely get up and get to the commode. The shape means it can easily be used when lying down in bed. Capacity is also big.

My husband like most men his age (70s) can be caught short at times and as public conveniences are so rare these days it’s great to have this item for emergencies. He only uses it in his car but it’s been invaluable when out and about and no toilets are available. It takes away the anxiety he felt at going out for any length of time. It’s also handy at home especially when it’s difficult to get out of bed quickly through the night.It’s got a screw cap so no worries about spillage. Very easy to clean too and very easy to tuck away in the car or bedside.
