Good quality food colouring which was easy to use. Thick consistency, I mixed before I took out in bits using a cocktail stick. I used in fondant icing which worked well, add in a bit at a time to achieve the desired colour. Wear food safe gloves to protect your skin. Colours evenly as you kneed the fondant.I also used in buttercream, and cake mix. Mixed in well, even. Tip with buttercream is mix buttercream until as pale and fluffy as possible... then add the colouring.Pastels were easy to achieve however if you want to reach the deeper colours, some of them you do need quite a bit of paste.Expect blue tongues 👅 No taste to the paste which affected the taste of the fondant / cake.Daughter was happy with her birthday cake, as was I. Not sure I would do one which needs so much food colouring next time.The pack of 4 was the better value for money and was a nice add to my cake making bits and pieces.

Used these a couple of days ago. Colours were good but one of the pots was solid not liquid like the rest. I just used a spoon handle to prise it out, seemed OK just solid.

This is my first time using this product and I'm impressed. I only used 2 of the 4 colours to give the range shown in the picture. The navy was mixed with a tsp of gin (vodka would work too) to dilute enough to paint on giving the dark navy coverage. Same colour (minus the gin!) was worked into white fondant for the blue grey snowflake.. you really don't need much to achieve a strong colour. The blue and light blue were both ice blue shade, the darker shade made first, the lighter made 50:50 coloured fondant with white.

The colours that are included produce really nice coloured icing. So easy to use and last well. Have used them a number of years now😊

Only used mine in some Newyork style cookies. But the results are great! You don't need much to change an entire batch.I would recommend a toothpick to scrape some out.. or the handle of a spoon, if you're an animal like me.
