This kit comes in a very close second in my rankings of the many kits I’ve bought.It comes with everything you need and makes the cutest little friends. There are a couple more elements than more basic kits, which can make it a little more challenging, and the yarn is a a little thinner than some other kits suitable for beginners, but still high quality. I just mention this as chunkier yarn is much easier to work with for a novice, and this was the second kit I’ve ever been able to do so that speaks to my level of (in-)ability and the clarity of the instructions. For a total novice I’d maybe recommend trying a simpler kit first to build confidence and learn stitch types on a chunkier yarn, as I found the skills I learned from a kit that was a bit simpler but had very very detailed instructions really helped me succeed at this one. I think you’d still be able to complete this kit if you hadn’t done any others previously though. It just might feel a bit more challenging. Still perfect for beginners, like I said could be a bit more difficult for a complete novice but still doable thanks to the videos.Instructions:The instructions are good and very clear. You can either follow the pattern or scan the QR codes and watch helpful videos that walk you through each step from beginning to end. Each animal has its own little leaflet with a beautiful photo of the finished design on the front, and the pattern written out. By far the most aesthetically pleasing instruction leaflets I’ve encountered in any of the other 7 kits I’ve recently bought (I’ve become addicted. It’s an actual problem).Quality: this is very high quality and comes in lovely packaging. I found the thickness of the yarn to be just right for me as I’d built a bit of confidence having created two little friends with chunkier yarn previously, which allowed me to get used to the different stitches.Supplies: absolutely everything you could think to need. More than enough yarn, which takes away the pressure of having to do things exactly right. There’s enough that you can mess up and try again. But if you don’t mess up I think you could probably actually make 2 of each little friends.End result: nobody could believe that two days prior to this kit I’d never crocheted before. Even I couldn’t believe I’d made it! Crochet seems so daunting. There were bits of the design I struggled with, but having a few more complex elements made for a fun challenge, and I was able to problem solve. Is it perfect? No. But is is the result still adorable? Absolutely! The first kit I tried, and the first thing I’d ever crocheted, had a result that looked exactly like the image on the box. But this was still lovely.Overall a lovely kit. Great to follow for those fairly new to crocheting. The box is high quality and the instruction leaflets are beautiful and have links to videos which walk you through the steps for each animal you’ve chosen. The end result is really high quality, and so cute. The colour choices are lovely, and I really liked the way it looked with the thickness of yarn they include. I will absolutely be buying many more kits from this brand, especially having tried several from its competitors and being able to gauge where this stands among its competitors. Really worth the price, and perfect for a gift, or to make to give to someone as a gift. They’re a lovely size and really cute. Absolutely recommend.

I just started crocheting with this kit and it has everything needed. You get a booklet explaining the stitches but also have access to online videos that slowly explain what to do. Really helped to get into this and I finished my first Yak in 2 days. It is bigger than I expected but still cute. Really recommend these little kits if you start your crochet journey. The yarn is easy to work with, and even the first few stitches are done for you, so it's easy to start. Loved it!

Ot for complet buggers but after a month of learning to crochet definitely is a good kit. Video instruction questionable but for the money it's a good value kit get everything you need, you g3t a hook yarn stuffing and everything for someone who may be newish to crochet, the yarn strands aren't easy to go through which is good for newish crochets making th3 stitches easy to distinguish. The colours are beautiful and love th3 design. The quality once fishing the body is great happy for my 2 year old to hold it without worrying it will come apart. The size is small but that's great as it doesn't take to long to crochet took me 2 days.

Love this. Everything you need in a little box. I am new to crocheting and found this to be a fun project. Instructions are super easy to follow and there's even little video tutorials online if you get stuck.

Comes with everything you need. The instructions are pretty clear for beginners, although I did need to contact seller for some advice...which was provided quickly. Only thing to be aware of is that the instructions use US terms. I'm from the UK, but once you get used to translating SC to DC, etc., it isn't a bother.The best bit about this kit is the yarn...it's really good quality and doesn't fray.

Really perfect beginners crochet kit, I bought this to make for a friend but I love my little highland cow so much I'm going to keep it and make them another!Having the thicker yarn really helped me with learning and not getting tangled in the stitches. Also feels great quality, easy to follow instructions and helpful video

Worst product the videos are hard to understand and they just rush I normally crochet and this is just bad I’m just gonna use the yarn for a different project.

I’m not sure if it’s just me or not. But this may be good for ‘beginner’ crocheters but definitely doesn’t seem to be for first time ones. The instructions probably make complete sense to someone doing it after a few times, but aren’t relevant to the product itself so are difficult.Might just be me, but after numerous attempts, getting to certain parts it would just not make sense and unravel. Hopefully I’ll pick it up but yes, seems to not be for first timers
